The past few years I have been invited to a wreath making party. Bob's sisters Karla and Diane are great landscapers and started putting their trimmings to good use by making wreaths. A few years ago they started inviting a few of us from work (Karla works where I do) and taught us how to make wreaths too. This year they had quite a few people invited - 10 in all. Some of us still need quite a bit of help, others are quite self sufficient but we have fun. This year they invited my sisters Terri and Cheri also. Here you see the room all ready for the wreath makers. They had all sorts of greenery and accents set out. We all took along some of our own accents, greenery and ribbon.
Here you see Diane acting goofy while she helps Terri with her wreath.

Karla is instructing Laura, Jamie and Robin on how to do this.
Becky and Pearl are hard at work.
They served us a wonderful supper. We had minestrone soup, cheese soup, sandwiches, BBQ wieners, muffins and desserts. It was so good!
Here is Terri with her finished wreath.
Cheri with her wreath - excuse the lighting - the accents didn't show up well.
Nancy did 3 wreaths! She always does one to put at her parents grave as well as that of her sister-in-law. She also does one for her door.

Funny...I recognized almost everyone there! :) Looks like you guys had a blast! (How could you not with all those crazy people there!?!?) And the wreaths look amazing!
What fun, we made wreaths a few years ago with my aunt and had a good time too. Ours were fake though.

WOW! Gorgeous!! I LOVE them and only wish I lived close to you so I could get you to make one for me so I could buy it! hehehe

Hey, I want to come next year. Hmmmm. Do you think that will be too far to drive for a wreath??
That looks like it was a great time! And then dinner also, a perfect girls night out I'd say.
Smiles!
We did have a lot of fun - and your wreaths turned out great! I already can't wait for next year!
That really was a lot of fun. What a night those girls put on! Hopefully I learned something and can do most of it myself next year!
Wow! Those wreaths look awesome! That looks like so much fun!! I have a "fake" wreath for our door. I've purchased a real one in the past from Logan through Boy Scouts but they're too big for between our door and storm door.
I had a great time, your sisters are a hoot. everyones wreaths turned out sooooo nice.
We did have a great time of it. All the wreaths turned out so nice too.
Did you HAVE to use the picture that makes me look like I have 10 chins?! ;) We had a wonderful time watching and helping everyone get creative! Already have ideas for improving next year's party! Great job on the wreaths gals!
What a great idea! I love what all of you came up with.
A bunch of us from the office got together in the basement of the office and made small trees a few years ago. It was such a fun night. I ended up making one for my mom, too. You can take a peak at the tree here..http://findingmesomehow.blogspot.com/2006/12/welcome-to-behrens-christmas.html
The wreaths turned out gorgeous! Sounds like you all had a wonderful time making them. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your kind words. Have a great day!
It was such a fun night. You're right the lighting on ours doesn't do them justice. They really did all turn out nice- can't wait to see Lauras!
They are GORGEOUS, oh my goodness, I wish I could make one too :)
Hugs,
Sandra
What fun! The wreaths all look beautiful too!
Mari,
Just beautiful! Any chance you guys want to come to California to give me a class or two?!? :O)
What a great idea! It looked like you all had fun.
i am fabulously impressed!!! since i am all thumbs and would need help from a pre-schooler - wreath making is way beyond my league!
I love these wreaths !! They are exquisite ! (is that even how you spell that word ?? ) I've always wanted to make a wreath ... maybe one day when we live in a "cold weather at Christmas time" country, I'll learn how !! Love the photos of your sisters ! They came out nice !
What fun! The wreaths you all made are beautiful! We have had to halt the continuation of the decorating process here - due to the flu! ugh!
Blessings!
Renee
That looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to learn how to do that. And food too---what a great combination. Food, friends and a fun craft!
I don't think we'd even find trimmings like that here in Japan. I bet it smells good too, eh? I really enjoyed the pictures.
That looks like so much fun!! The wreaths are absolutely beautiful!!!
Those wreaths look GREAT! much better than any I have ever bought!
