Ahoy, Maties!

We got to take our sailing cruise today. We are so happy that we stayed late and did this. The weather was beautiful and it was a great experience. Most of the crew was dressed as they would have when this ship was sailing. They encourage those on board to take part and become part of the "crew". Bob, Andy and Heather did this. I did very little because I was taking pictures but we all had fun. We learned how much work it was to sail a large ship like this, especially back in the 1800's without the equipment that is available today. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

What a cool experience! We'll have to do that some time. Did you get sea sick?

Hi Mari,
I saw your comment on my blog tonight. Thanks for stopping by. I too at one time lived in Michigan (Oxford) ... hubby worked for GM in Lake Orion. My favorite spot is Mackinac Island ... :) Your sailing adventure looks grand ... we do similar outings mostly WWII era reenactments. Fun stuff! My prayers go up to the Lord for the safety of your son as he embarks on his Army adventure.

I love your pictures. These sailing pictures are wonderful! I also want to wish you Happy Independence Day - little late. America has a very special place in our hearts. We lived one year in Greeley, Colorado and that was a wonderful year! I also once celebrated fourth of July in Hawaii! Nice party. God bless America!
