On Friday night we surprised Andy. Bob had read a book that talked about celebrating when your son reaches adulthood. Since Andy is now out of high school and will be leaving us to enter the Army, this would be the time. Andy thought he and Heather were going to watch a movie at Aaron and Laura's. However he didn't know that Aaron and Laura were on their way to our house. Heather told him she forgot her testing strips for her blood sugar, so they had to turn around. She had already held him up for some time and he wasn't really happy with her. (You did good, Heather) Here he is when he is finding out why they really returned.
The group of men (Grandpa, Aaron and other men from church who have been important in Andy's life) had a steak dinner together. Following this a few men talked about being a Christian man in your family and the workplace.
Here is Bob and Andy at the end of the night. I was told they had a good time, with lots of laughs and good talks. I hope this is a night Andy remembers. We are proud of Andy and the man he has grown to be.

I agree with what everyone says about the last picture. I've got tears in my eyes looking at that one. I'm glad it turned out nice.
what an excellent and awesome way to give a young man closure to adolecence and welcome to Christian manhood.
Awesome!
