Eggs and finger jello...

The girlies spent the night here Friday night.  Here's a few of the things we did together.

We had a little goodie bag for Easter that they had fun opening.

Then we stopped to see Bob's Mom.  She's been in the hospital and came to the facility I work at to rehab before returning to the Assisted Living place she lives at.  She's been pretty sick and it's hard to come back from that at 88 years old.  She was happy to see the girls and liked the pictures they drew for her.

I saw these cute finger jello kits in the store, and picked this one up.  When we got home we made jello!

 They are good stirrers!

The kit came with cutters in the shape of a fish, shark, porpoise and starfish.

This was Ruby's face when asking if she could have some of the jello pieces that were left.

And here they are tasting them.

The next day we colored some eggs.

I saw a way to color eggs where you dripped food coloring onto paper towel, then sprayed it with vinegar water to make it spread out.

Then you wrap the paper towel around a hard boiled egg, then wrap it with plastic wrap and let it set for an hour.

The girls each did 4 eggs.

Here's the finished eggs.  They end up with a pattern from the paper towel weave.

They were proud of their finished eggs!

Lovely eggs. So glad your dear MIL was able to return home. Have a blessed rest of the evening. Not sure if Monday is a holiday where you are from. These days it seems to be in some places but not in others. I guess if one is a nurse or caregiver you can work anytime.

Saying a prayer for Bob's Mom. I absolutely love the eggs the girls colored - what a unique way of coloring them! The jello molds look like fun too. Have a nice Monday.

Wow!!! I love that idea for coloring eggs!! Gotta remember that for next year. And haven’t made finger jello in ages. That’s a fun activity I need to remember as well.

Mari, you find the neatest activities to do with your girlies. Those eggs are adorable.

Bob's mom does not look like she is 88 years old! I'm glad the girls were able to spend some time with her.

Those eggs are so pretty. How nice your mother-in-law can be at your workplace for rehab. Hope she can recover and got back to her assisted living again.

Those eggs are gorgeous! I wish I'd colored some eggs with Dagny for Easter but I ran out of time. I'm going to remember this for next year! Now I'm going to find some of that finger jello. She'll love that. Thanks, Mari! xoxo
