Sunday Snow!

We haven't really had any snow this year, just a few snowflakes that didn't amount to anything.  But that changed on Sunday.  It started snowing in the afternoon and came down hard.  By late afternoon, everything was covered in white.  Here's what it looked like shortly before 5.

 Our backyard...

more from the back.

The beautiful beech tree in the front,

and the trees in front covered in white.

I'm not a fan of snow, especially when I have to drive in it, but I must admit that it is beautiful!

  1. That is a lot of snow in one night. It is beautiful. We had our first snow this morning and it snowed heavily. But where I live it is a damp (usually rainy climate in Winter) and the snow mostly melts or turns to slush.

  2. {{{Grinning}}} well, you already know what I think, lol. Hey, ask me later--it is suppose to snow--3-5 inches today and then tonight another 3-5--I have to drive in it today. wink

  3. The photos are beautiful, Mari! Your yard looks amazing any time of year, that's for sure. BUT...I don't ever need to see that pretty white stuff in person, ever again. This Friday our temps are going to only reach the high 50s and we are already getting out sweaters to layer on! LOL

  4. I love snow, and I can say that because we rarely have any, but the pictures are beautiful. Be safe driving in it.

  7. I wouldn't want to drive in it either but that is so gorgeous. What great pictures you got! I'd love to have a December snow. I'd enjoy every minute of it (as long as I was indoors and there were no power failures). xoxo

  10. So pretty Mari! We had some, but it melted already. Then it got colder today and snowed on and off and we got a little bit. Areas around me got a lot more snow the past couple of days. It sure does make everything so pretty. Not to mention feel more Christmasy. ;) xo

  11. I'm not a fan of snow either because it makes the roads around here almost impossible to drive on even though I have a jeep. But I agree it looks beautiful. It's very mild weather here in the UK and I'm pleased about that!
