Family Picnic

You may remember that a few weeks ago, we were going to have a family gathering, at a chicken BBQ, until a tornado stopped us!  We decided to try again this past Saturday.  My whole family met at a local park.
It rained much of the day, but by suppertime the sun was shining.  The temps had dropped and it was cool and windy.

Ruby saw great grandma coming and led her to the pavilion.

This time the chicken was from KFC, but it was still good!

After supper there was time to play.  This tire swing was a highlight.  It had 4 tires that hung from a crossbar and then could swing around.  It's hard to see, but the big and little kids enjoyed it.

My niece cut her hand and needed stitches removed.  I took the kit along to do it, but then decided it was too soon!  I told her she better wait, be don't need it to open up again!

This is my brother, helping Ruby get her shoes back on.  She is often barefoot!

My crazy nephew was being a dare-devil.  He was running across the table and jumping the fence. I was for sure have some injuries if I tried that!

It's a beautiful park, with a pavilion, playground equipment and lots of flowers.

We took a few pictures of us with the girls too.  Bob's the only one that wasn't having hair issues because of the wind!
It was a good time with family!

Aw, I'm glad I stopped by, there is nothing better than spending time with family, and KFC well, that's just the bomb when it comes to having a picnic. That's quite the owee of a finger but she sounds like she's in good hands with a nurse like you around. What a darling photo of the two of you with those cute girls.

Have a great week!!

I'm glad you managed to have your family gathering before the summer is gone. I hope it wasn't too cold for you. The last photo of your and your granddaughters and husband is very nice!

Such a beautiful park to get together for fun and food. I enjoyed the photos very much and love the one of you and Bob with the girls. It does look a little cool, though.

giggling over Bob and not having hair issues...that seems to be a common theme here (me having hair issues, lol).

What a great time you all had, thanks for the smiles. Have a beautiful Monday, Mari.

Jackets....it really cooled off for you! It's better here but not jacket weather yet. Looks like a fun time you had. Happy for you that it could be rescheduled.

I just love all those pictures! It was such a nice time, despite being a little chilly. I love the picture of Uncle Duane helping Ruby with her shoes - so cute! And the last picture of all of you is a keeper for sure - love Ruby's tongue!

That Ruby is quite the star! How nice of her to lead great grandmother in! Ruby must love her very much. Great grandmother's sweater look so good on her. She is a lovely woman.

And, Alaina looks like a princess. Her hair is so pretty which frames her sweet face.

I am happy that you finally got to have this picnic and that you all have a lovely time together including the boy who jumped the fence. He must have been extra exuberant.

It looks like you all had a great time! I was sad to have missed, but Andrew filled me in on all the goings on and I knew that you would have some pictures to post!

Being bald has one advantage then! Love that last photo of you all. And I have to admit I quite like KFC chicken!

I don't know if you'll be cross with me for saying but I know I'd want someone to tell me if I made a typo so just to say you've written "tray" instead of "try" in your first paragraph.

What fun. Ruby looks the way I think Alaina should still look. Alaina looks like some big girl I don't even know. What a beauty! xoxo
