We had Alaina and Ruby overnight on Friday night. It had been about a month since they spent the night and it was so good to spend time with them again!
I hope you can put up with some pictures!
Both of the girls like to arrange stuffed animals on the couch and cover them with blankets.
Playing with Grandpa. They tired him out!
I've told you about Ruby climbing before. She'll use anything to get her up a little higher. This is one of the little boxes that we store blocks in. After I took the picture, I hid the box from her so she didn't break it. :)
Alaina sits with Grandpa, Ruby doesn't believe in sitting.
"Helping" get a snack.
Moving the stool again, so she can get up by the counter.
I was bringing things to the car before bringing them home. Ruby didn't want to be left behind, so she sat in the doorway and watched.
We had a fun time, and I think the girls, and Grandpa and Grandma slept well on Saturday night.
Haaahaaha Ruby ... always seeking higher ground. I laughed out loud at "Ruby doesn't believe in sitting." She was shot out of a cannon and no mistake. I bet Laura and Aaron enjoyed a few hours of not having to worry that Ruby was going to fall off a stool and break her noggin. I'm glad she's happy to stay with you and Bob now, and isn't afraid anymore. Alaina is my kind of girl: much blanket-snuggling time in this winter weather. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny how she is always climbing. Smart girl that Ruby! How fun for them and you guys to have these special times together.
ReplyDeleteOvernights are fun but I never sleep well when I have a small grand at my house because I worry about them falling out of the bed etc.lol I will have Elliott next week so I guess I can look forward to sleeping with a two year old for several nights.lol That Ruby...I can see that she is going to make like interesing for you all. Our Margaret was like that...and still is!!
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWWWWWWWW....Ruby is just adorable...as is Alaina. Have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had time with both girls. They are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing the circus doesn't come to town anymore, or Ruby would be running off to be a trapeze performer!! I foresee a broken bone or two for that girl before she figures out she needs stop climbing! Both of your granddaughters are so adorable. I know you all had lots of fun and I never get tired of your photos!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Ruby really is all go go go isn't she!! So cute though - both of them actually! xx

ReplyDeleteOh so Ruby is happy to stay over night now? I'm sure the last time I read about her here she really cried and wasn't happy. She looks like she is now, ha!

ReplyDeleteRuby really is becoming a little climbing monkey! I'm glad you all had a nice time at your sleepover. I'm glad Ruby is willing to stay over with you now.
ReplyDeleteThey tire you out, and you tire them out - they're always tired too! :) And yes, that is what Ruby does - always climbing on something! I'm thinking of just wrapping her up in packing foam every morning. :)
