A day in my life...

Can you believe it's June already?  This year is flying by!
As I usually do, I'm sharing my first day of the month with you.  Here's how my day went:

It was a work day for me, so I was up at 10 to 5 this morning.

I've been trying to get in a walk every morning.  30 minutes later, the walk is done.

In the car and heading to work.  It's cold this morning!  40 degrees outside, and I'm in my scrubs with no jacket...

It's getting light as I turn off our road.

I love the views on my drive in.

These guys are enjoying an early morning swim.

Here are our med carts, all ready to go.  There are 2 nurses, we each have one wing, with 30 residents.  We spend a lot of time passing meds.  Our morning med pass goes from about 7:30 to 10am, then we do another one around noon that takes about an hour.
I don't have any other pictures of my work day because of privacy issues, but we had a very nice day.  None of our residents were sick, there were no discharges or admissions and I got out of work on time!  (That's pretty rare!)

Look how it warmed up while I was working!  66 degrees and the sun is shining.

I like seeing laundry hanging out to dry.

 The corn is growing...

Such a beautiful day.

I got a load of laundry going, and started supper.

Burritos - so easy to make, I feel like I'm cheating.  (I'll share the recipe later)

Supper dishes are cleaned up, and so is the sink.  That always makes me feel good.

Bob had to go to a meeting at church.  It was so nice out that I took a walk.

This is our street.  Everything looks so green.

I walked in the woods down our street.  It's so peaceful and quiet.

Looking up!

It was a very nice day.  Hope yours was too.

Sounds like a very good day at work, with no major problems, and then a nice evening coming home. I like to see washing hanging on the line too, but it seems rare these days. Sleep good.

I really enjoy hearing about your day! And your street and the area around your home is so beautiful (without snow!!). It still seems cold for June 1st, but the green is really green!

Happy June, Mari! Oh, how I enjoyed reading about your day...always fun to take a peep into a blogger's life:). You were certainly up early...I also love being awake when it is still dark out - somehow I feel fresher, and I enjoy starting my chores when the birds are starting to wake up...:)
Ooh...your dinner looks scrumptious! Aren't simple meals fabulous...?
The pictures of the wood near your home are beautiful - what a wonderful Creator we have - He made such beauty for us to enjoy, and a walk in His creation always leaves one refreshed and relaxed!
Hugs to you, Mari! Hope June is a beautiful month for you!
Blessings!

Sounds like a very nice start to June. So impressive too that you managed to get in exercise twice and do the dinner dishes :-) It is lovely on your street. I love all that greenery. May the rest of your June be just as lovely.

Sounds and looks like it was the perfect day. And, yes look at all the green; I know that's a welcome sight! You have a beautiful place for walking. Hey! And, good for you on the treadmill every morning. My day was much lazier. :)

It was quite chilly here too--never got beyond 45* yesterday. Love your pictures, thanks for the smiles. Looking forward to the recipe. Blessings

I can't believe it's June, either! But it's a little chilly for June! ha.

I agree a clean kitchen sink just makes you feel good. It's rare there isn't at least one dish laying in mine, but I enjoyed it empty and freshly scrubbed yesterday, too!

The Mister gets up early and walks on the treadmill, too!

Nice day! It's 50 here this morning. Really feels cold after days and days of hot (90's) and humid.
Wishing you a blessed Tuesday, Mari.

Your area is so pretty and green, I can see how you would want to get out and walk.

You had a good, productive day, Mari. The best part is how grateful you seem to be for it.

I always reading this post about your day on the first of each month. It is like I get to be with you! Your washer is a pretty machine. I like your sink too!

My house is a complete mess this week. We have torn out the fake brick in the dining room and have plans to repaint the walls to bring in some light. I am working with a designer from Seattle. Fun!

Hi Mari, Well you get in a lot of steps during your day. You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the world around you. The trees overhead are so pretty. Glad that work went smoothly and you got home on time. Your supper looks delicious. That 40 degrees sounds cool - glad it warmed up some!

Love seeing all the green! Your weather sounds an awful lot like ours :) It's been getting down in the 40s at night and up in the 60s during the day. Not bad considering it's opposite seasons here so this is the equivalent of your December.

I like seeing laundry on the line too. Don't you find it funny that some communities are zoned to prevent it? Because some consider it "unsightly". Silly people :)

That burrito looks sooooo yummy!

Looks like you had lovely day -- thanks for sharing it with us :)

These are among my favorite posts of yours, Mari. You seem to pack so much life and living into one day! I too get a buzz from a clean and empty sink! Haahaha! It's just such a good feeling. I'm so happy for you that the days are warmer, although I can hardly believe it's only 40 in the morning. That just amazes me. It is JUNE!!! xoxo
