Let it snow...

This is an aerial view of Michigan taken last week.  It shows what we deal with so often throughout the winter - Lake Effect Snow.   I live quite close to Lake Michigan so we see a lot of it.  This past week, we had lots of snow come down, which made for difficulty driving and lots of accidents.  Our little town was said to have gotten the most snow in our county.  I also heard that last year we only had a few inches of snow at this time, this year we have over 21 inches.
All this snow is coming at a bad time for me.  It's made it difficult to get out and get that last minute shopping done.  I'm hoping we're about done with it, but it doesn't sound like it!

We've been in the deep freeze (-0 without wind chill some days). We're finally getting in to the 30s. I might need to dig out my shorts and t-shirts. ;-)

Drive safely. Those winter storms can be terrible.

You always find the most interesting things! That's a pretty cool image! I know you won't like me for saying this but...bring on 21 MORE inches of snow! I love it! :):):)

I love winter and snow too, but not sure that much for that long would be fun to me. Do you get to work, driving in that?

Yeah, I hear ya. Snow, snow, snow here too in upstate/western NY. I think the news forgets about us, all they talk about is NYC, well..NYC is not the state, lol. ANYWAYS..still snowing here. Stay safe & warm. Blessings

Mari, I lived 100 yards from Lake Erie, back in 1971-1974. Our street ended at Lake Erie. I know that lake effect snow and cold. So happy to be in Florida now! Brrrrrr!! I hope you are able to get your shopping done, and that you travel safely to and from!!

Gosh, that's a lot of snow. I can relate; I spent a number of years on the shores of Lake Ontario and it was very snowy there too. I hope it lets up soon for you.

21 inches is a lot of snow! Alaina will have to build an igloo. Today is free delivery day so get on the computer and order all your gifts and have them delivered! :)

21 inches!! I do believe you have us beat! So far I've been very fortunate that our worst snow days were on days I did not have to drive very far.

I don't know how you do it, Mari. Today I wore a sleeveless top for my Christmas shopping. It was a balmy 71 degrees. And getting warmer over the next two days! I wish you could have a break from that snow and cold. Come see me anytime. Merry Christmas xoxo
