I grew up on a farm and have always loved the country! I'm glad I live close enough to visit the city and shop there, but the country is where I want to live!
This little sign is in front of my neighbors chickens. I thought it was pretty funny to see in front of a chicken coop, but I liked the saying:
"A day in the country is worth a month in the city"
This is one of the reasons I like country life.
Seeing cows as you drive makes a person smile!
These 2 are pretty cute!
I think country folk are friendly, the air is cleaner (most of the time...except for the occasional farm smell), it's so much quieter and there are lots of barns to see!
What about you - are you a country or a city person?
I like city life for convenience sake, but at heart, I'm a country girl. I was raised on a ranch in Montana, and can't get it out of my system even now.
ReplyDeleteI think you know what I am. Country girl all the way. You know what they say "You can take a girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl." But it would even be pretty difficult to get me out of the country. I love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteCountry girl! I like that sign in front of the chicken pen. Isn't it funny how different parts of the country have different cows. All the cows on my road are black all over. Closer to Raleigh they have black cows with the band of white around their middles. The cows we raised were red with white faces. The best part of living in the country is the quiet with just the sounds of nature.

ReplyDeleteCountry all the way. I don't like city, I don't like big crowds, I don't like concrete and brick walls....I want to be surrounded by land and mountains, and cows and chickens and red barns and fields of crops :)

ReplyDeleteWhere we live is just perfect. On the edge of a small-sized tourist town (William Shakespeare's birth place - Stratford upon Avon) and on the edge of the country with wonderful views and sheep and cows and slow-moving tractors!

ReplyDeleteI do love having horses in the filed in front of our house, but I also love the fact I'm only 20 minutes drive from a busy town. I get the best of both worlds.
I'm a city girl that's lived in the country for 30 years! ha. But I love it..it's fresh, quiet, beautiful and peaceful.

ReplyDeleteCOUNTRY! I don't know how I would deal with the lack of space. Cities are fun for a while, but I would miss the green pastures all around me!

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures these are of the cows and the cornfields. I'd take the country anytime. Where I live (Bacolod City) is a rural-urban mix, more city but the sugarcane plantations, rice and corn fields are only a few miles away. Metro Manila is really a megapolis...

ReplyDeleteWhen we moved to the country, the first night we stayed my daughter said, "Momma look how many more stars we have here." Living in the city the buildings shielded the stars!
