Do you like Peeps? This time of the year, they seem to be everywhere!
Peeps were first made in 1953, and it took 27 hours to finish the first one which was made by hand.
Now the Peeps factory in Bethlehem, PA, makes more than 4.2 million chicks a day.

So, do you eat Peeps? I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of them, but I know lots of people love them!

Those are some awesome pictures... or are they PeePtures?
Another friday's favorite for sure:-)
Mmmmm I LOVE peeps!
i love them!
I don't care for them - they are missing "chocolate". lol
Have a blessed Easter - the reason for our JOY!!
I don't eat them often and when I do, I can only eat one or two and then I'm done until the next year.
Hugs,
Kat
They are cute! But yuck!
I do like Peeps. but the best way to eat them is to cut open the package and let them sit out for a day. They get a little hard. I dont know why but it is yummy!
PEEPS! Never heard of them!!
But they look nice!
Have a blessed Easter.
I <3 Peeps -- especially the chocolate mousse flavored ones. :-D
I am not a big fan of them.
I have a co-worker who eats them all day long before the Peep Season is gone. Give Me a Choco-bunny!!!
It was a very interesting story of how they are made.
Have a blessed Easter.
How cool! I love peeps :)
that's fun!! my boys love the pics of how to make peeps...YUM!
I saw these made on a show, maybe it was How its made, anyway they can be addicting.
Me? Dunno 'bout anyone else, but I really don't care for these kinds of peeps. But I do like my blogging peeps!!!
I could eat a ton of them except they make me sick. I love them!
Not much for eating them, but they sure are pretty. This is a great series. Did you tour the factory?
Tammy - I got this in an e-mail, no tour. :)
Glad to get all this "peep" info, Mari!
Happy Easter to you and your family!!
Oh, how fascinating! I love the pictures, really nice. I don't like them, but my kids do...lol
Mari, thanks for stopping by and for your kind comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the mini-stories, and that you can relate to such situations.
Happy Easter!

They are cute but I don't think they are available here in Finland and even they were I think they would not be my favorite:)
They don't even look good to me. I suppose it is because after 5 kids and grandkids, I lost my taste buds for this kind of sugar treat.
The kids will get some tomorrow but it is nothing I would want to eat any more! They're cute! I had no idea how popular they are though!
Sweet! I don't like them now. I did when I was a kid. Pretty neat how they make these little buggers. I don't think that is far from Randy's family. I like to watch the tv show unwrapped.
Not a fan of the taste, but do think they're awfully cute :) I saw a fun centerpiece on a blog... they'd put a smaller vase inside a big clear one and in the space between the two there were jelly beans topped by a row of peeps, and then tulips in the center vase. Very Springy!
You know, I've seen them but I've never had the opportunity to try them but now that I've seen them being made, I'd sort of like to try one!
My boys love these--my husband included. But even they can only eat so many of them. :) Thanks for the fun factory tour!
