No housework?

Did any of you know there was a no housework day? Neither did I!
I think it needs a little publicity.
However, there is some bad news. Did you see the date? It was Thursday. As usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short! Hopefully next year we'll find out in time to take advantage of it.

  1. I wasn't aware of this but fortunately for me, I did participate!

  2. Like Pat, I participated even though I didn't know about it! LOL! A fun day! With just the two of us at home now, I'm doing what I did when we first married. I clean on Saturdays - but starting Thurs, Fri, I start leaving little stuff here and there that's going to need cleaning on Saturday. Otherwise I'd have nothing to do, because basically I'm a place for everything and everything in its place kind of person. It's fun when the grands are over and I actually have stuff to straighten and clean, lol!

  4. I didn't know about this day but I couldn't have a no housework day. Not at this time of my life. But I don't think I need that day. I love doing what I do and, as long as I take some time during the day to rest, it's fine for me.

  5. Well, I think I am going to celebrate it TODAY!

  6. I could have used that, big time, about 25 years ago. Now, not so much.

  7. I celebrate this day quite often. But now that I know I have an excuse...I'll mark in on my calendar and make sure my broom goes in for repair work and get the plugs rewired.

  8. I did not know that either, but like others I did observe the day.
I only do my cleaning on Weekends since I work all week.
I need to start spring cleaning one of these days. blah
    Have a great day.

  9. This is interesting. I wonder who decides on these dates!

I scrolled down to read some posts I have missed. The bacon fetuccine is tempting, but we probably do not have the Italian Cheese and Herb cream here.

    Congratulations on your forthcoming grandchild!

  12. It's funny but today did turn out to be a no housework day for me because I sat with little Jillian all day as she is recovering.

  13. Never heard of that before! Must be a reason why it isn't such a public announcement.

  14. I wish I had known about this day, but it will be around next year and neither one of us will miss it.

BTW way is your son doing? Good news about the military pay though.

  15. There used to be a better one than this. Years ago there was a "No Sex Today" day which we thought was hilarious.

In all honesty though, I really enjoy housework, but I was able to play this week, because on the
    7th, I was on Vacation..(Tee-Hee)

    Happy Sunday Mari!!!

  19. I'm so glad someone finally made a day to relax the mops and dusters. Even though I missed it, I will celebrate it retroactively. Okay? Thanks!!!

  21. I'll be happy to do no housework any old day! Except, I cannot stand dirty dishes or overflowing trashcans. Oh well ... we pick our battles and our boycotts too.
