And the rains came down...

We've had lots of rain lately, so much so that we've set a record for the second wettest April in recorded history.
Here's a few pictures of what it looks like around here.

This isn't a pond - just someones front yard.

It seems there is water near the edge of most every road.

The ditches are filled with water.

And the fields look like small lakes.

This bridge is normally just decorative, with an occasional trickle running below it.
There are a lot of flood warnings around, but compared to what some other areas of the country have been dealing with, this is pretty minimal.

Looks like where I live, too! (The Upper Midwest)

The same here Mari in the Northeast. The winds were also so bad here yesterday and today. It took me three times to post a half hour ago because our power kept going out.

May God continue to keep us safe from harm's way.

Blessings,
Alleluiabelle

Looks about like my place. It's been a wild spring. I just hope it doesn't dry up so much that summer turns into a drought.

Oh my! May the water recede soon! We're having our first drizzle all day today and I'm glad that it's cutting down on the dust.

Whoa...I cannot believe some of the pictures I am seeing on the news! We are dry here in Nevada...

Wow, you sure have water! Are you able to get back and forth to work okay?

Wow,girl you do have a lot of water.
We have some areas in the state that are still fighting flooding, but it is drying up here. It don't take much to dry up sandy soil especially when the wind blows 30+ each day.
Hope you will dry up soon.
Have a great day.

Looks pretty much like my creek - and I'm sick of it. Today is beautiful!

That decorative bridge really looks water-logged. We finally have a day with sunshine, and it's so welcome.
Praying for all those that are suffering from all the bad weather.

Wow! That a lot of water. But I bet your grass is very green because of all the rain. We got more rain today too. So thankful for that!

Kinda scary. But, still, it can be beautiful. Just hope there was no damage around your area to people's homes and no lives lost.

Ohhhhhhhhh, how I wish you could share half that rain and bring it to our area. We are so in a drought.

Oh my goodness. This kind of thing is happening all over the place. Talk about April showers.

We've had a lot of rain, and then the snow melting had the ground saturated. But I don't think we've had nearly as much as you based on the pictures. We do have showers forecast for most of the next week though.

I usually love Spring, but with this rainy/scary weather, this Spring hasn't been the best. Lots of flood warnings here too.

Oh, Mari ... this is amazing. I didn't know about this. I'll be praying for you all. I like rain but too much is enough!

I would say that you are not having a drought, are you? I bet you have not seen this much water for years! Texas would love for you to send them a few gallons.

water, water, everywhere.. but thank goodness not at our place (right now)...I've seen it like that in my neck of the woods. I hope you get some dry days and the water goes away quickly.

My goodness.... it is raining a lot. Here in the UK it's really sunny which is abit unusual for this time of year. We could do with a bit of your rain! It's very windy here though. Hope everything is ok.

I was hoping MI would warm up (and dry out) before we get there but I don't think that's gonna happen. Oh well. It'll still be good to be there!

Good heavens! That's a lot of water. We have had a lot of rain, too, but after several drought years, we just keep soaking it up!

Glad you are safe and dry. Thanks for stopping by Spots and Wrinkles. Blessings to you - Marsha

Wow! When you put the pictures there it really says a lot. Did you see down by the river and Leonard where that house use to be and is now a park? I would have hate to have been that house and deal with that water all the time.

Glad you're okay. That's a lot of water for sure. Thanks for the pictures to give us a good sense of it all.
