This weekend we got to go to a birthday party. It was Bob's great nephews first birthday.
He enjoyed the presents, especially the paper and the boxes.
Eating the cake though - that was fun!
He got his own little cake to eat. His Mom was smart and took his shirt off!

Such fun! Brings back some wonderful memories of my son's first birthday. He's 19 now....hard to believe that much time has gone by.

ReplyDeleteLove that! Jon's first cake had blue icing too, but I think we just had a bib on him and pulled up his sleeves. That was ten years ago...almost makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Don't you wish we could do that? Well, fully clothed of course!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kat
I sure wish I could eat cake like that...no worries over getting messy...just enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your words of encouragement on my blog today. I really appreciate it, Mari.
I have never seen a baby about this age who didn't like cake. And this youngster loves his cake.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh....these are super. The photos made me GOL [giggle out loud!!!]
ReplyDeleteNESTING HERON at paradise ponds in today's post.

ReplyDeleteSo Cute!
ReplyDeleteHa!!!! Loads of fun!!
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute! There have been times I would have loved to eat cake like that, but I will have to wait a few years. It's only allowed when you are very young and very very old! I will leave my shirt on though if I ever do it!
ReplyDeleteNow that boy knows how to enjoy his cake.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to watch the first birthday cake.
He is so darn cute.
Hugs
So cute. Looks like it was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you did when your kids had birthday cake but I was so careful that they did not get messy. I would never let them put their little fingers in the cake. I realize now I kept them from having alot of fun. Sorry about that. Young Moms and Dads are so much more laid back these days. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Mari Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share. I love seeing the little face with all the frosting and cake. Oh those are such beautiful memories. I love it. Priceless for sure.
I hope you have a beautiful week sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
OK ... is that the "little" cake or did he go through that one and start on the big one?
ReplyDeleteI want cake.
I always made beautiful cakes for my children for their birthdays. We usually had family in so we never gave the birthday child the entire cake. They had to share it with everyone. I never thought of making an extra cake just for them. I doubt that they would have eaten it anyway....well, maybe chad would have. Hahaha! It would have had to be chocolate!
ReplyDeleteNice cake, Fun picture. Its priceless.
