A few weeks ago, I heard a radio announcer do a top 5 list, of the best places to go for Fall color. They were:
5) Central Park in New York
4) Pennsylvania
3) Colorado
2) Michigan
1) Vermont
I was pretty happy to hear we made it in second place, and have to agree that it is beautiful here in the Fall. This year our colors are better than ever. They say the weather has been perfect for giving us the best color we've seen in over 10 years. We've had lots of sunny days and cool nights.
I've been oohing and ahhing as I drive anywhere, and my camera has been getting a workout!
I'm also praising God for the beauty He has placed around us!
Here's a few pictures to show you what I'm talking about. These were all taken within 15 minutes of my home.

It looks so beautiful! It's so dry here that we have smoldering fires popping up everywhere and the trees are dropping there leaves w/o much color. So sad. So I'm really enjoying seeing Fall through MI this year!

You're right! It is gorgeous in the fall in Michigan. I've heard that it's beautiful here in Oregon during the fall too so I'm anxious to see it burst with color.
Gotta admit fall is beautiful, just don't like the next season so much!!

Simply stunning Mari!!! Yep, Colorado is one place to see great Autumn colors, but I think what you've shared, you have CO beat. Love the bridges best.
As for the miners' safe room....I thought the very same, but it seems to me that we Americans never even consider the small workers and their safety.
Oh yeah? Well we have subzero wind chills and lots of icicles in the winter, so there. ;-P

since we're a little further south our leaves are just now starting to change. peak for them is usually the last week in October, first of November.
