A few weeks ago I shared some of the carvings Bob was working on. I thought I would show you the finished product of one of them along with another one that he recently finished.
This is the picture I showed you of the pirate bust, he was working on.
And here it is, completely done. He now has a gold earring and a gold tooth.
I love the the way the belts look!
This is his latest project. This fireman is from the 1930's. When I look at his face, I can almost see him thinking about how he is going to fight this fire!
Bob always adds some great details. I think this base really looks like an old cobblestone street!
When I showed you the carvings a few weeks ago, I said I would share the latest project Bob was working on. Well - now I'm going to. In tomorrows post I'll share what he made for me!
Bob does such nice work. Can't wait until tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhat excellent carving! Looking forward to see what he made for you!
ReplyDeleteI am craving a pirate carving! Of my very own! BTW Nostalgic Nana is here and we admired these together! You are next, Mari ... get down here, girl! We got us some sightseeing to do.
ReplyDeleteI meant to add ... these carvings are brilliant. I want one, truly! The little fireman is so cute and you're right: the cobblestones are a fantastic touch. But I still want a pirate. =:~D
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't wait to see what he's made for you! Those are both so wonderful. I've said this before...he's so very talented.
ReplyDeleteHe is very, very good!! These carvings are amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! He just gets better and better!!! Those are great!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's got quite a talent for carving. Looking forward to seeing tomorrow's post. :-D
ReplyDeleteSo, so neat! I'm looking forward to seeing what he's made you!
ReplyDeleteThe bible says...do not covet. [well of course it's the 'neighbor's wife' in the commandment but....]
ReplyDeleteI want both, I want both...in fact I covet 'em all!!!
Wow. Oh and PS...every time I see the Serta Commercials now, I think of his carving.
What an artistic guy, from his landscapeing to his carving! Does he paint also?
ReplyDeleteThe quality of his work is really amazing. Since my husband is a retired fireman, of course I favor the little fireman, but truly both are excellent!!
WOW! Those are great! He is great at what he does!
ReplyDeleteThese are so great girl. The pirate is a very appropriate carvin' for the day. Sunday was International Talk Like a Pirate Day. My son's fam fly the cross bone flags on their house and all six of 'em dress the part. Yep, my grandsons wore eyeliner and an earring to church yesterday. So did the girls but, ya know! :o)
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious day sweetie!!! :o)
What a talent he has.
ReplyDeleteWow that is amazing. Bob is one talented guy!! Can't wait to see what he made for you!!
ReplyDeleteLove and Blessings
He's one talented man!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Bob surely does his hobby well! The pirate carving was beautiful, with the belt strap, and the gold earring. I wish I could see the detail of the tooth!
ReplyDeleteANd the fireman's expression on his face, that is so good too, to think that is was all hand carved.
Does he keep the pieces, or does he sell them?
Has he even done a one man exhibit of his work?
Love
Lidj
Amazing details! Does he sell his work or is it for your collection?
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kat
