A few more carvings

A few weeks ago I shared some of the carvings Bob was working on. I thought I would show you the finished product of one of them along with another one that he recently finished.

This is the picture I showed you of the pirate bust, he was working on.

And here it is, completely done. He now has a gold earring and a gold tooth.

I love the the way the belts look!

This is his latest project. This fireman is from the 1930's. When I look at his face, I can almost see him thinking about how he is going to fight this fire!

Bob always adds some great details. I think this base really looks like an old cobblestone street!

When I showed you the carvings a few weeks ago, I said I would share the latest project Bob was working on. Well - now I'm going to. In tomorrows post I'll share what he made for me!

  10. The bible says...do not covet. [well of course it's the 'neighbor's wife' in the commandment but....]

I want both, I want both...in fact I covet 'em all!!!

Wow. Oh and PS...every time I see the Serta Commercials now, I think of his carving.

  11. What an artistic guy, from his landscapeing to his carving! Does he paint also?
The quality of his work is really amazing. Since my husband is a retired fireman, of course I favor the little fireman, but truly both are excellent!!

  13. These are so great girl. The pirate is a very appropriate carvin' for the day. Sunday was International Talk Like a Pirate Day. My son's fam fly the cross bone flags on their house and all six of 'em dress the part. Yep, my grandsons wore eyeliner and an earring to church yesterday. So did the girls but, ya know! :o)

Have a glorious day sweetie!!! :o)

  16. Wow, Bob surely does his hobby well! The pirate carving was beautiful, with the belt strap, and the gold earring. I wish I could see the detail of the tooth!

ANd the fireman's expression on his face, that is so good too, to think that is was all hand carved.

Does he keep the pieces, or does he sell them?

Has he even done a one man exhibit of his work?

    Love
    Lidj
