Today I have a good chicken recipe for you. It's really easy to throw together and is yummy!
Soy and Garlic Chicken
6 chicken thighs or 4 chicken breasts, skin removed
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Place chicken in 4 or 5 quart slow cooker. In small bowl, combine tomato sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic. Pour over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or until meat reaches 180 degrees.

Sounds so yummy.
ReplyDeleteWish I had the time to try it this week but nope.Too much on the agenda ..
Oh well another time maybe.
Enjoy for me, please. LOl
Mari, this sounds really good, I'll have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteOn another note...I see on your blog that your son is in the Army...do you mind me asking how long he's been in the military? My son just got sworn in and enlisted with the Army today, but doesn't leave for bootcamp until January.
I don't do recipes. The last one I did got me hooked on home made bread and I gained 40 pounds. Well it was more than the bread.
ReplyDeleteI think that we will give this a try tomorrow night - great recipes. Keep 'em comin'.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know what I'll be making in my slow cooker by stopping here and finding out! Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteThis looks really good. Going on my to try list!
ReplyDeleteMari,
ReplyDeleteWriting this one down to try over the weekend since tonight is chicken with mushrooms and rice, a family request and favorite, otherwise I would try this one!
Thank you so much for posting these wonderful recipes because they allow busy families to still make wonderfully delicious meals!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
This sounds really good. I bet it would be great over rice!
ReplyDeleteHe signed on for 3 years, but of course if he loves it, he will re-enlist for longer. He is interested in anything to do with Aviation, but was very disappointed that the jobs he wanted aren't available until next year and he didn't want to wait, so he went ahead and chose infantry, since it was the only job open right now. His other choice was Military Police, but there wasn't an opening for that right now either. As it is, he has to wait til January 11th to go to basic training, which will be in Georgia. He is a little anxious to go now!
ReplyDeleteI was a little stressed out when he first told us he was going into the military because of the war and all, but I've put a lot of prayer into it and am trusting that the Lord will take care of him. This is what Michael wants, so as a parent I am supporting him 100%.
Does your son Andy like the military? Has there been anything or any place that he hasn't liked? Has it been scary for you? I hope you don't mind me asking these questions....I'm just so curious about everything right now and I don't know anyone else with a son in the military.
Okay this was a dinner saver yestery! I checked your slowcooker post about 3:00pm and knew this was what was for dinner. I had chicken in the fridge thawing out for a couple of days, almost begging to be cooked differently than all the chicken before it. Mari to the rescue! I had all the stuff, well almost (improvised a little) and got right to work. Since it was already late in the afternoon I cranked up the crockpot to HI and we had a yummy dinner by 5:30...thanks for sure on this one! My husband loved it and said to make sure and keep this recipe! We had it with white rice which was great with the sauce and carrots cooked in the drippings from baked apples earlier in the week. Yummo!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious, Mari!
