It is Thursday night at 8:30 and I finally just got a call from Andy. The problem is you really can't count it as a call. It was the worst connection ever. He could hear me, but I only got a few words from him. He said he is there and all is well. He is not at the camp he started at and will be moving to another one soon. That's all I got after listening for about 10 minutes. Oh well - It was good to hear his voice and I know he'll call again when he can. hopefully the connection will be better!
I also wanted to let you know that my knee is finally improving. The pain is much better and my kneecap isn't slipping near as much. I'm still trying to take it a little easy so it can heal the rest of the way. Thanks for your prayers, both for my knee and for Andy!
So glad you got to hear from your boy, even as unsatisfactory as it was. Do take care of your knee.
ReplyDeleteI am glad he is safe and well. I hope you can talk again soon. You're in my prayers - hope your knee continues to improve.
ReplyDeleteYes!! Good news, sorry you had such a bad connection, next time will be better. Glad your knee is feeling better. . . Did you go to the doctor?? Hmmm

Hi Mari
ReplyDeleteI know, I know...I'm saying it yet again...I'm playing "catch up" with my blog reading. It happens more often than I ever thought possible. But I'm not complaining though. My life is full and happy, so sometimes I get behind.
It's so frustrating when phone calls don't work on both ends. I'm sure he'll call again soon.
Funny post about the nose muffs. LOL It's always fun to visit you.
Hugs!
Kat
Glad you got a call from Andy, too bad for the connection, but you know he is safe. As far as your knee goes, that is great! Keep taking it easy so it will get better.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you "heard" from Andy! Praying he can call again soon! I hope you don't have to work this weekend and you can take it easy with the knee!
ReplyDeleteKeep taking it easy for awhile- I know- easier said than done!
ReplyDeleteAt least we know he's safe and sound and hopefully you get a little better connection next time.
I'm glad that he made it. Sometimes those connections are a pain - especially with the time delay. At least you know he's there!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you were able to hear his voice, even though it wasn't an ideal conversation. I'm sure just to have any connection at all means the world at this point. And I'm glad your knee is feeling a little better. Prayers for both of you, my friend.

ReplyDeleteThere was a guy checking IDs at the gate today that looked exactly like the pictures you've posted of Andy...seriously, I almost asked if his name was Andy. But, that would mean he works in security forces, and since you already told me he works with helicopters, it wasn't him. sigh...
ReplyDeleteHope you hear from him again soon. Was he calling you from Skype? When he gets his own internet connection, the quality of your calls will improve.
I remember my MIL crying when she missed Adams calls. Your family has been on my heart and I have been praying for you
ReplyDeleteHoooray!!! Now we just have to get that BLOG going - glad your knee is better - wow - you sisters are falling apart on me - first Cheri - now you?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you heard from Andy even if it were just a few words. He will probably call again as soon as he get situated.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't you be wearing something on that knew or do you? Take care, my friend.
Sorry, I meant knee!
