Slow Cooking Thursday


Today is Slow Cooking Thursday, hosted by the lovely Sandra at Diary of a SAHM. I have a yummy side dish for you today. Hope you like rice!

Mushroom Wild Rice
2-1/4 water
1 can (10-1/2 oz) beef broth
1 can (10-1/2 oz) condensed French Onion soup
3 cans (4 ounces each) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup uncooked brown rice
1 cup uncooked wild rice
In Slow Cooker, combine all ingredients and stir well. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until rice is tender.

  2. Oh brother, I gotta try that one! That looks so yummy!

    I do a wild rice (box directions), mushroom soup, mushrooms then add sour cream at the end and it is good but I sense that I need a change sometimes. This will be a good one.
