Party Time!

Saturday night was another family night. We started the evening by having my Dad and his wife, Ann come for supper. We had our traditional mid winter (we were a little late this year) supper of pea soup and home made rolls. For the story on that tradition and the recipe for the soup, visit my recipe blog.
After supper the rest of the family arrived. We were celebrating several birthdays.
This is my Dad with Shaelyn, who is Terri's daughter. She had to give him a birthday hug and a card.
Here's the whole group - enjoying cake, ice cream and family fun!

How fun! What a blessing to be able to share the celebration with family! (sometimes I get deja vu reading yours, Terri's and Cheri's Blog!)

By the way, did Ann like the painting? Did I miss that post?

I had forgotten about your recipe blog. I am behind on copying recipes.

The blonde straight ahead in your family picture. Who is she? Is that one of your sister's daughter? I think I recognize Heather, Laura, her husband, Cheri, Terri, Nick and your father and wife. You have such a wonderful family!

What a nice size family. You all look like you had a great time. It is nice getting together with family. Now for the pea soup, you can keep that to yourself. I like peas but not the soup.

I love that picture of me - that's how I should have them taken from now on. Hope you're feeling better too. What exactly do you have?

Your family gatherings are even sweeter then birthday cake. I love the pictures and everyone sure looks like they are enjoying the traditional bowl of pea soup!

There is a dream my husband and I have and that is to drive cross country with our children one day. I am praying that happens.

If we are ever in your neck of the woods, I want to plan it for when you are having a family gathering. Your family looks like so much fun!

What's this? A recipe blog from someone I know is a good cook?! Whahoo =) I was just saying I need to get some new recipes because I'm bored with what I've been making but I'm such a chicken about trying new ones because I hate to waste time if it turns out nasty. I'm so excited to try some of your recipes!
