Fun with the girls

This is a catch up post!  Before I took my little break for Terri's visit, we had the girls over and I want to share the fun we had.

I needed new pictures of them, so I had them pose in their yard for a few shots.

We went out for ice cream!

So good!

I read a tip about making people skip while taking their picture to get fun action shots, and this was the result.  :)

When it started to get dark, we sat out on the deck and watched fireflies and Ruby even caught some!

The next morning, we made some Magic Water critters.

They had fun picking colors to make them and they turned out cute.

Bob hooked up the old Nintendo that our kids used to play with and we played a few games.

Then we set up tables downstairs and the girls painted beach towels.

They took packing tape and electrical tape and made designs on the towel.  Then they used spray tie dye paint and painted around the tape. When the paint dried, we pulled the tape off and ironed it to heat set it.

Ruby did stripes with summer fruit; pineapples and watermelon and a few R's.

Alaina did stripes, a giant A, waves and The Rookie.

They had lots of fun and were happy with their towels.

Like I have said a hundred times you find the most creative crafts for your grandchildren. Maybe you should start a craft studio for kids. I think you would be very good at it. The girls are growing up so fast. Glad you updated their pictures. Janice

Oh my gosh, what a neat craft to do with kids! I didn't know there was such a thing as spray tie dye paints.

I don't know what is so different about the pictures of the girls from Monday, but, honestly Mari, it looks like they both "grew up". They are both beautiful young ladies and I know you are proud of them. Such fun times of making memories.

I just love what you do with the girls. They work so hard too. I love their freckles - my daughter still has hers - I lost mine.

Those girls are growing up so fast and into beautiful young ladies. Mari you come up with so many fun activities they are going to have tons of wonderful memories of their visits to Grandma & Grandpa's house. Love the beach towels, so much fun and when they are swimming with a group it will be easy to identify their towel.

[re your Hubby] Wow, that's some white legs. *giggling & ducking*
The crafts look like so much fun. And I really like the skipping photo! Good idea. I'll have to try that.
Blessings to you all. 🩷

It is always nice to do things with the grands. It is harder to do things once they become teens and get busy with their own lives. Enjoy the time with them! Now I want icecream! :)
