A Day in my Life

November blew in with gusto!  I woke up several times during the night hearing the wind howl.

It was a dark and cloudy morning, the back yard was covered in leaves that had come down because of all the wind.

When we left for church in the morning, we noted leaves blown up against the garage door too.

We have Sunday School before church.  Here's my classrrom with people starting to come in. This class starts at 9am and goes to 10.

The church service starts at 10:15.  We are going through a series on Revival.  It's good to see and gather with our church family and hear a message from the word.

This was the view shortly after 12 as we were driving home.  Snow!  And it was still very windy.

Lunch was hot and ready when we got home.  Chicken Rice soup in the crock pot.

After eating lunch, we did some reading.  The view out our front window was more snow.

Soon Bob had settled in for a little nap.   Sunday afternoons allow that little luxery!  I took a nap too and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Supper was as easy one - Pizza burgers!

Then we had a quiet and relaxing evening, following a pretty relaxing day!
It was a very good start to November.

  3. Your lunch and dinner look delicious! And so warming for a snowy day. Our Sunday school starts at 9:00, too. Well, it used to. We haven't had it since Covid. But we do have quite a few Zoom bible studies. It's really windy here, too, the wind is howling.

  6. I still envy you being able to go to church with no masks etc. Our church did finally open but with no singing, masks and no chatting after the service. It just didn't seem appealing to me. And now from Wednesday we are going into a full lockdown again!

  11. Sunday was a lovely day to visit with friends, worship the Jesus, and take a little snooze. What a glorious LORD we have that we are allowed to enjoy these pursuits in the Land Of The Free. Loved all your photos. Well done. xx

  13. I can hardly believe it's November already! Sometimes I think it's been a long year, and other times it seems like a fast train is going down the tracks, and oh so much bitterness with the coming election. I just pray for God' will on this. Well, actually on everything.

The leaves have so many pretty colors. I had a friend who never raked her leaves saying they protected the grass. And, here I'd been paying her young son to rake mine. :)

I hope your week will go well, Mari.

  19. Great to see all those pictures Mari. We can only have 30 gathering for a church service, have to wear masks and NO singing or chatting afterwards. We haven't been. Would rather be able to be at home and sing as loudly as we want!! We're currently about to enter full lockdown again for 4 weeks.
