November blew in with gusto! I woke up several times during the night hearing the wind howl.
We have Sunday School before church. Here's my classrrom with people starting to come in. This class starts at 9am and goes to 10.
The church service starts at 10:15. We are going through a series on Revival. It's good to see and gather with our church family and hear a message from the word.
Soon Bob had settled in for a little nap. Sunday afternoons allow that little luxery! I took a nap too and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was a very good start to November.
Sounds like a perfect cold fall day!
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold and windy here too, but no snow yet.
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks so good!!!
ReplyDeleteYour lunch and dinner look delicious! And so warming for a snowy day. Our Sunday school starts at 9:00, too. Well, it used to. We haven't had it since Covid. But we do have quite a few Zoom bible studies. It's really windy here, too, the wind is howling.
ReplyDeleteHi Mari - looks like you had such a nice, cozy Sunday. Your chicken soup look so good. Sunday naps are just the best. Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteWould you share the recipe for the crockpot chicken and rice soup please Mari? It looks great.
ReplyDeleteI still envy you being able to go to church with no masks etc. Our church did finally open but with no singing, masks and no chatting after the service. It just didn't seem appealing to me. And now from Wednesday we are going into a full lockdown again!
ReplyDeleteThose lazy quiet days are the best sans the snow!! LOVE the photo of Bob.
ReplyDeleteSuch a blessing to be able to attend church services. The soup looks delicious for a snowy cold day. I hope you have a nice week. Mildred
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a day in th life.....I may ave to do one of those for a post one day. I will have one of those cheeseburger pizzas. They look yummy. It is cold here today only getting into the 50s....cold for southerners at this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your church is open, ours is too and having that soup ready when you got home was super!! Glad you could have a day of rest and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteSunday was a lovely day to visit with friends, worship the Jesus, and take a little snooze. What a glorious LORD we have that we are allowed to enjoy these pursuits in the Land Of The Free. Loved all your photos. Well done. xx
ReplyDeleteThe soup looks delicious and so do the pizza burgers! Have you shared those recipes? You can have that nasty cold and snow!! Brrrrr!!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly believe it's November already! Sometimes I think it's been a long year, and other times it seems like a fast train is going down the tracks, and oh so much bitterness with the coming election. I just pray for God' will on this. Well, actually on everything.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves have so many pretty colors. I had a friend who never raked her leaves saying they protected the grass. And, here I'd been paying her young son to rake mine. :)
I hope your week will go well, Mari.
xoxo
Lovely photos! We had some really strong winds here on Saturday, and most of the leaves are off the trees now. Bob looks quite relaxed and comfy :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like one of those perfect cozy days! Naps rock 😎😉 Just sayin
ReplyDeleteI'll put the soup recipe up next week!
ReplyDeleteSunday off is a whole different pace for your first day. No snow here but we certainly had the wind and cold! Soup is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a PERFECTLY lovely day! I LOVE that I saw not a single mask on anyone in your Sunday School class. Sorry not sorry! And that SOUP! I love it when the weather deteriorates when I'm on my WAY home and can mole out and enjoy it! Good for you and Bob/Bon on those cozy naps. xoxo
ReplyDeleteGreat to see all those pictures Mari. We can only have 30 gathering for a church service, have to wear masks and NO singing or chatting afterwards. We haven't been. Would rather be able to be at home and sing as loudly as we want!! We're currently about to enter full lockdown again for 4 weeks.
