Back from vacation

I'm back from a lovely vacation.  I'll be sharing some pictures during the next few days to share what we did with you.  For those who have seen these on FB - sorry for the repeat!
We went to Traverse City, in the lower peninsula of Michigan.  We rented the cutest little cottage.  It was on a lake, about 6 miles from Traverse City, so it was quiet and peaceful but still a short drive to the city.

Here it is - not big but perfect for our stay.

It came with a fully equipped kitchen.

The living room had lots of room to relax.

The second BR had bunk beds so it would be perfect for a family.

Our room had a comfy, king sized bed.

The bathroom had a stacking washer and dryer, so I didn't have to come home and catch up on laundry.

The owners left us a sweet gift basket; wine, fudge, dried cherries, and a gift card to a local restaurant.

The side yard had this nice sitting area.

Here's the lake the cottage was on.

Not far away was a buffalo farm.  They are such majestic animals!

Traverse City is a beautiful place.  I enjoyed just driving and seeing all the stately homes.  Most of them are very well kept up.  Some areas still have cobblestone streets.

I'll end today with a beautiful sunset over the lake and more adventures tomorrow.
