Our girls came and spent the night Friday night. As usual, we had lots of fun with them!
We picked them up after supper and told them we had to stop somewhere on the way home. They thought it was the grocery store and we let them think that. They were thrilled when we pulled in to the park! It was a cool evening and there was no one else there.
There are so many fun things to do at the park!
After we left the park we stopped for ice cream. The girls chose cotton candy flavor and pronounced it good.
We went home and played a little, then watched a show. Soon it was bedtime.
They must have been tired because they slept till about 8:15! We had breakfast and spent a little time playing and coloring.
We each drew a cow. Alaina drew a much better cow at 6 years old than I did!
We also had fun making something else that I'll show you tomorrow.
It was now after 12 and time to start heading home. We had lunch at Burger King and stopped at friends house. Then we stopped at my Dad's house.
They love sitting on the swing with him.
I don't know what they were looking at but they looked cute peeking in the window.
We said good bye to great grandpa and great grandma and drove to their house.
Laura is on a short trip with a friend to visit the Pioneer Woman's lodge and mercantile, but they were happy to see Aaron when we got to their house. He's been doing special things with them while she is gone. and they were looking forward to more fun with him!
Well, the girls are adorable and I know y'all had so much fun! BUT... I would love to be with their mom visiting the Pioneer Woman's lodge and mercantile. There and Waco, to see Chip and Jo's place. How cool is that! I hope she shares some photos that you can share with us!! Alaina's cow is pretty good!!
ReplyDeleteThe girls are so cute and I can well imagine how you look forward to spending time with them. Such happy memories are being made for all of you. xx
ReplyDeleteYou always have so much fun with the girls, and they just adorable. They remind me so much of our two girls when they were young........they were very close.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the girls. I am so glad you take them to your dad's house. It is sweet to see the generations enjoying each other. And I have Magnolia on my bucket list too. I saw that Joanna had her baby boy. I feel like I know her.lol
ReplyDeleteI love how sweetly the girls interact with each other like the picture of them looking in the window.
ReplyDeleteSister dresses are so cute and so much fun:)
ReplyDeleteA trip to the Pioneer Woman's area sounds like fun, but time with your little ones is a blessing!
ReplyDeleteYou always have so much fun with those sweet girls. And I love reading about it :)

Sounds like a great weekend!! <3
ReplyDeleteAnother Friday night in the memory books. The girls look so cute. Alaina is getting so slender and tall. Ruby is cute as pudd'n.
ReplyDeleteYou are just the most fun grandparents around! ;) They would make it easy to want to play and have fun though. Such cutie pies!!
ReplyDeleteHappy week ahead Mari my Dear. xoxo
Lucky girls getting to do special things with the older generations! That last picture is really precious!
ReplyDeleteYes I'm sorry to agree but Alaina's cow is better than yours! Although they do look very similar. Are you sure you didn't copy hers? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love when you share photos of the girls night with you. So happy the weather was cool for their visit to the park. I love the drawings of the cows - makes me think of blogger Arlene, who loves cows!
ReplyDeleteGood to see the girls visiting with your Dad too.
So much fun they had, as usual! That last picture just melts my heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the cow pictures, they are still proudly displayed on our fridge!
