The weather continues to flip-flop around here, warm one day, cold the next. However, last week we did have the first day of Spring, and on Friday it hit 60! (and then Saturdays high was 38...)
Anyway, I decided it was time to get rid of a few winter décor items in the house.
My old milk can in the garage had a stake in it with a snowman and a "Let it snow" sign. It was clearly time for it to go!
This is on my dining room table. It had pine cones and fake snow in it. Now there is moss and some hydrangea blooms.
This is on an end table in the living room.
This is on the tv table in the living room. I found the little sign online. It says "Choose Happy". I love that, and it makes me happy to see it!
These were just small changes, but it's nice to see some things inside, that remind me of changes happening outside!
I love your spring vignettes, Mari. I need to get busy and do the same here. I hope warm weather will come to stay for you soon!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! I have put out a few things for Easter but made myself cull my collection!!
ReplyDeleteMy 60 degrees is getting warm. We definitely have warmer temperatures here to but more like between 50-55. We are now having buckets of rain. Sunshine not arriving until Thursday. I'm sure that will make me feel like Spring but I won't be putting out any Spring like decor. I'm slowly trying to get rid of things and collections take space. Your collections look lovely though and you no doubt have room for it. Enjoy Spring Mari.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did, Mari...hey, I got home yesterday and did the same thing, put the "winter items" away. We have similar weather, sigh.
ReplyDeleteLooking pretty at your house, Mari! I worked in the yard the past two days; the weather cooperated but come August I'll probably get heat stroke out there. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. We need rain something awful, though. :(

Very cute spring decorations! I need to get my table decorated for Easter! Your displays just reminded me!
ReplyDeleteI love the touches on spring in the house. It always makes me happy to see, even if it is cold outside!
ReplyDeleteAll of your decorations are lovely, Mari. I finally finished up doing ours today...except for a spring wreath for the door.
ReplyDeleteI really like your centerpiece on your dining room table. That is so cool. Is there water in the bottom of that container or is it a special container that makes it look like that? It is beautifully done.
I like your choose happy sign, too. :) And the bird nest and little blue bird. I've been looking for an authentic looking bird nest but so far haven't found any except on Etsy. I have a scale similar to yours, but it is packed away in the attic. I still need to get up there and get some of my blue mason jars down...maybe I'll dig out the scale too.
Have a great evening, my friend.
Your house is looking very much like spring. As Heather said it does give one a lift even when it is cold outside. Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteJust the smallest touches can add such delight in little ways to your heart, and I always say it takes the little things to add up to make something big, and indeed it does, the little things add up to special joy in your heart.... loved the touch of moss and rocks in your candle holder, and your choose happy sign, very well done :) Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so cute! Love the little signs. Unfortunately you might need to get your snowman back out.... supposed to snow again. :(
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are so pretty, very springlike. I hope the weather picks a season soon!
ReplyDeleteYour end table groupings are so cute and homey. I love the "Choose Happy" frame too. I have a picture hanging upstairs in my house. It says "Happiness is an Inside Job" ... Happy Spring to you, Mari! xoxo
