Yes - Ruby still likes to climb. She made it to the top of this...
and this. I was standing close and watching though!
When we got in the care, she had to put on her sunglasses. It didn't matter that they were upside down, that it was close to being dark, or that these were Alaina's glasses!
A yummy snack of cheese and crackers.
And Grandma read a bedtime story that Ruby was very involved in!
Saturday morning they had such fun building a fort using the couch pillows.
Peeking at Grandma from their fort.
We had lunch at McDonalds, visited Great Grandpa and did some shopping at the dollar store. What a fun day!
They are getting to be big girls. I am sure Ruby kept you running on the playground. These are the times we hope our grands remember when they grow up.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! They get cuter and cuter, Mari. I see that Grandpa had a good time also! :)

How fun! That Ruby is quite a character! Seems like all little ones like building a fort with sofa cushions! So happy you had nice weather for their visit!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! Glad you could play at the park Friday since it got cold and rainy after that!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun for all:)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to when I have my grandkids spend the night. We've had our granddaughter here when she was a baby, but the little guy doesn't sleep through yet. I told my daughter when he gets some practice at that, he's welcome, too!
ReplyDeleteOh they are just shining Gems!! I don't know how you couldn't do anything but have the best time with these little Darlin's!! ;) And Grandpas and Grandmas are just the BEST too. The end. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet! Each photo of your cutie-pie granddaughters brought back memories of my days of having young children. I haven't thought of fort-building in a long time! My daughters used to arrange their 4 miniature high back "kitchen" chairs in a square and thrown several blankets over them. They'd take books and dolls underneath and stay for quite a while. Someday, I'll be ready to re-live these adventures as you are now.
ReplyDeleteOh Mari, they are so adorable! I know you all had such fun and created some great memories!
ReplyDeleteHow fun...oh how fun!! Those smiles just made me giggle. I loved the intense expression on Ruby's face as Grandma is reading to them!! Love your girls. And I love how Grandpa is active with them at the park's slide too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you the weekend off and were able to have some fun time with the girls. They are so precious...and I loved the look on Ruby's face when you were reading them a bedtime story. :) SO cute!
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughters are beautiful. I love the park photos and seeing the little ones so happy to use a lot of energy. We were with our granddaughters also over the weekend and I cherished every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteOf course, cheese and crackers! :)
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I love their fort.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have had a warm day with your girlies! We had lovely weather on Saturday and again today, but the day in between, when we went down to Sam and Jenn's it was cold and rainy. We still had fun indoors, but it would have been even better outside.
ReplyDeleteCan you ever imagine life without these two little girls? How boring it would be! You are truly blessed with beautiful granddaughters.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute and full of life :) And btw- I loved that book when I was younger, reading and being read to is so fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cute pictures! They sure are blessed to have awesome grandparents - they love every second with you!
ReplyDeleteRuby and Alaina, living large! I love the way those girls enjoy simple things like going to the park and building a fort with couch cushions. Their joy in living is so obvious. What a precious gift! xoxo
