Last week we got to go to Alaina's Pre-school Christmas program. These programs with young kids are so fun. They are always so excited, and proud of what they did.
Here's Ruby before the program. She didn't last long. She likes to move and squeal, so she spent most of the time standing in back with Aaron.
Here's Alaina, the last in line, walking onto the stage.
Here's a shot of the whole stage. It was also where I realized I was going to have a problem. This was a program involving kids up to 3rd grade, along with a 4th and 5th grade band. Alaina was behind the band and we couldn't see her at all. I walked to the back of the sanctuary and used my telescopic lens to try to get a few pictures of her.
But - my problems continued! Once I found her, I saw that she was standing behind this little boy, and I could only catch peeks of her.
Like this...
and this!
On the other hand, this little girl wasn't going to blend in with the crowd. She stepped out and was dancing to the music. It gave us all a laugh!
It was a cute program though. Alaina was proud of herself and we were glad we were able to be there!
These special events do become precious memories as the youngest grow up far too fast! Beautiful shot - I can imagine the joy!

ReplyDeleteSpecial times...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!! Oh the problems I had trying to make everybody's child "see-able" from the audience. And there was always at least one little diva in the front, hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteLove children's programs....they are so innocent and fun in whatever they do. Thanks for giving me a big smile this morning, just seeing her.
ReplyDeleteAlways so fun, and you did get some great shots of your precious Alaina. Ruby probably wanted to be up there with her sister!! It looks like it was quite a production!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love the picture of Alaina peeking out at you. I think she was trying to see you too!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet all of them at that age. Alaina will remember this happy day.
ReplyDeleteYou did admirably well considering the circumstances. That Alaina is so darling. I'm so thankful they were able to use the word "Christmas." xoxo
ReplyDeleteTelescopic lenses/lenses with good zooms are the best, aren't they?! Looks like a wonderful program. Thanks for sharing your sweet photos of Alaina!
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! I'm glad you got these shots of her. She's such a doll. I would have had to make my way right down front and sit on the floor. Love the children's programs. I really missed the one back home. I have several nieces in it. Caught a few videos on FB. They were darling.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you were able to attend. Alaina is a precious little girl and Ruby is growing so quickly. God bless you all this Christmas.
