Cooking Thursday

I've got a favorite summer recipe for you today.  We really like grilling chicken breasts, and this is one of our favorite ways to make them.  These are good to get ready the night before, then you just have to pop them on the grill at supper time. They don't take long to get done and they are so good!

Teriyaki Chicken
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry cooking sherry
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Combine oil, soy sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic in large resealable bag.  Place chicken in bag, removing air from bag and place in refrigerator.  Leave in frig overnight or at least 8 hours.
Drain sauce from chicken and grill until chicken is cooked through.

I love this idea!! Must say, lately, I've been trying to fix more fish and chicken and turkey instead of red meats...so this will be on our menu real soon. And I love just about anything with soy sauce.

Love teriyaki chicken, so I'll give this recipe a try!
It's a plus that it is a grilling recipe, so the house doesn't heat up when they are cooked!
Thanks for sharing.

Have a great weekend, and a great 4th~

This looks like the perfect meal for when it's starts getting hotter outside and I won't have to put the oven on.

This sounds yummy! I'll have to figure out what I can substitute for the cooking sherry since I've never seen that here.
