Deluxe Ham Casserole
3 cups elbow macaroni, cooked as directed
1 cup cubed ham
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup frozen peas
1 6 ounce can french fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray large casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Stir together the soup, sour cream and milk. Stir in the minced onion and garlic powder.
Stir in ham, cheese and peas. Then add 1/2 can of french fried onions.
Place covered, in oven for 40 minutes. Then remove cover and sprinkle remaining french fried onions over top. Bake another 5 minutes, until golden.
Looks really good. I am not much of fan of frozen peas, but it looks like I could just leave those out. Thanks for this great idea. Will try it next time I have some leftover ham!
ReplyDeleteWe love anything with those crunchy onions on top! :) Yum!
ReplyDeleteHello Mari and happy Thursday to you!
ReplyDeleteUsing up leftovers is such fun, isn't it? Thank you for sharing your lovely recipe with us:)
Much love and hugs to you!

We will like this. Thank you. I remember when my nieces were young, they would pick the peas out of my chicken casserole and pile them up on the side of their plate! lol
ReplyDelete'Looks good enough to eat'! lol
ReplyDeleteLeft over ham goes in the freezer, so pulling some out is easy! This really sounds good!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds wonderful. I'll have to save this. Thanks Mari. :)

Love casseroles and this one sounds terrific!
ReplyDeleteI like casseroles and this would be good for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really good Mari and I'm definitely going to keep this for next year (& probably make it sooner when I'm hungry for ham again - Lol)!

That looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi Mari! We didn't have ham for Easter, but I can always use a good recipe. I think the cheese and cream of celery soul would really make it creamy. (I do love cheddar cheese!)
ReplyDeleteI might crush up some potato chips on the top too. A little crunch!
Blessings,
Ceil
Hi Mari we did have ham this year and it was good. I usually just make pea soup and savour ham for leftovers warmed up since I don't get to eat it so often. Your casserole looks like a good addition to the menu.
ReplyDeleteThis looks heavenly and wish I would have found it before we used up all our ham. We opted for split pea with ham soup and turned out amazing.

This looks really good! Our Easter ham is gone. We must keep this recipe for next time.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Mari! That does look yummy! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
