Party time

We had several parties this weekend. The first was on Saturday night with my Dads' family. My Dad has a wonderful family that has stayed close over all these years. We always look forward to catching up with aunts, uncles and cousins at this gathering.

We have a potluck supper.

Here's Ruby with a group of admirers - Laura, Heather and Aaron.

My Dad had a family of 11.  One sister died as a young girl and his oldest sister passed away a few years ago.  Dad is standing, on the left.  This is a group of mischief makers and it wasn't easy to get them all seated for this picture.  Dad is 84 and there are 2 brothers older than him.

After supper and cleanup everyone watches the little kids open a gift and play.

Alaina was having fun just having lots of room to run and chase a ball.

Saturday night we had Bob's family party.

It's always fun seeing kids open gifts.   There are 10 great grandchildren in the family.

Here's Alaina showing Grandpa her gift.

We played some marshmallow games.  This one was about seeing how many marshmallows you could get into a cup using chopsticks.  The kids made some creations using marshmallows and toothpicks.

Here's Bob's mom and stepdad, looking festive and enjoying time with family.  It was a nice evening!

Mari, what a blessing to have these two family parties this weekend! Your dad's brothers and sisters look like so much fun! Hard to believe your dad is 84 by looking at his picture...and that two brothers are older than him! Amazing!

Alaina is a doll...love her hair fixed that way!

I was just thinking that about Alaina's hair; looks so cute! Of course, she's a baby doll not matter what.

How nice that you had two parties with family; that's such a blessing. I have to agree, your dad doesn't look his age. :)

Holy cow! That's a big family you have. No wonder you have to use a gym! Glad you had fun.
Our two parties are next weekend. Family and City Council.

Oh what fun! What fun! I miss that so much. Holidays are hard because of loss of family but I'm determined to live in JOY this year. I'm looking forward to the babies and getting ready has been fun. I am doing a giveaway and everyone wins something (a small something) if not the ornament. So come on over and enter. Thanks a bunch. Mari you're the best!

All the pictures tell the story....fun, fun, fun. Love the one with Ruby in it, and Alaina is just precious as always. It is wonderful that your big family can at least be together once a year. Family is everything.

I think it's wonderful that you have these family gatherings. I always look forward to seeing family that I don't get to see any other time of year. Ruby is growing and I know everyone loved seeing her…And Elaina…she is growing up…Such a pretty girl….

That little Alaina loves to have a good time and she's a pro at it! Joie de vivre oozes from her every pore. It's going to be so cute seeing her and Ruby interact when Ruby's old enough to join in. Meanwhile y'all are having another safe, warm, love-filled Christmas season. I'm so glad. xoxo

You are a real party animal. I don't think I'd cope very well with all these family get togethers you have. Christmas and Boxing day are enough for me!
