This is probably how my daughter Laura is feeling now. Our new granddaughter was due on Monday, the 27th. She's taking her sweet time in arriving, and Laura is ready to be done.
She is starting with the nonstress tests tomorrow, and if that goes well, we'll continue to wait, like it or not! Hopefully I'll have some news to share very soon.
PS - She's not spending 50% of her time fielding phone calls from me. I'm trying to be good!
Bless her heart, and yours too, Mari. It seems like such a long wait, and then when the baby is born the wait didn't seem all that long. Kind of like labor pains; we hurt and then we forget immediately! I pray all will go well! :)

I was thinking about her today and wondering when she is due (I knew it was around this time!). Hopefully something happens soon. I remember very clearly those last few days/weeks of pregnancy and praying for labor to begin. I'll be praying for her and hoping to hear good news soon! :)
ReplyDeleteTaylor was one week late. Maybe you'll have a little pumpkin on Halloween! ha.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I know just how you feel, Mari. Audrey was at the very end of her endurance when she sprung a leak and it was time to go to the hospital. That night, precious Dagny arrived! I hope your baby comes tomorrow! Not because it's Halloween (I don't like Halloween) but because Laura wants it to be over! But November 1st would be a charming birthday too. I am on pins and needles waiting for the wonderful news! xox
ReplyDeleteI hope she's not too uncomfortable. I never made it past 37 weeks with either of mine, so I really don't know what it's like to be where she is, but I hope everything goes well and that she's holding her new baby very soon.
ReplyDeletePraying that everything goes well. God bless.
ReplyDeleteMay she have peace in these last hours/days of waiting. Such an exciting time!
ReplyDeletelate or not, the important thing is little one and mommy remain healthy!!
ReplyDelete...but, the clock's ticking. lol [couldn't resist]
ps...my father's birthday is/was the 27th.
I hope you will soon get to meet that new granddaughter of yours! May your daughter's last hours of waiting be upon her and may the Lord grant her peace as she endures them.
ReplyDeleteVery cute graphic! The waiting must be crazy for all of you, and especially for her! It's not something I ever went through personally, but my SIL was in labor for 36 hours for my folks' first grandchild (and my first niece). I wasn't there, but kept calling the hospital every few hours....not as good as you have been! Keep us posted!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, your daughter, and soon to be born grandchild!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to wait those last minutes and days. Praying for a safe and easy delivery and that mother and baby will be ok. Keep us posted (as if you wouldnt...lol).
ReplyDeleteI only had one child that was late and I clearly remember it. i thought if one more person saw me and said "you're still here?" I would explode! ha!
ReplyDeleteMaybe she will be born on MY birthday...11/2!!
I know the anxiety of waiting for a grandchild to arrive. I pray the baby decides to come soon and it will be a fast and safe delivery.Get those arms ready for some rocking…haha
ReplyDeleteAnnie's birthday is on Sunday. I hope that Laura doesn't have to wait any longer.
ReplyDeleteWaiting is so hard...but oh boy, when the baby arrives, there's going to be lots of thanks being given. Praying for a safe and quick delivery!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Will look for that happy news on your blog soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I know you are on pins and needles. What fun! I'm loving every minute of my baby girl's pregnancy and anticipating the day. I'm sure Alaina will enjoy too. Do you think she will be jealous? Connor has been fine. You wouldn't even know there was a new addition. He just acts like it's no big deal.
ReplyDeleteTrust all will go well. I am awaiting a little granddaughter's arrival in December.
ReplyDeleteI hope that perhaps by now things have moved on a little, and I hope that all is well. xx
