When Bob was working on the yard, he found a nest with baby robins.
I love watching baby birds and was excited to take pictures of them, but I could see they were pretty big already.
This is what I found when I went to take a picture the next day. They had already flown away! Glad I got that one picture. :)
They are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAw. I love them in the nest! They were hunkered down, keeping an eye on you! Glad you captured their last day in the nest!
ReplyDeleteHow very sweet! I just love baby birds.
ReplyDelete...which reminds me, I gotta go drive back on the island and see if the baby stilts have hatched!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photo...the pine tree makes the nest and cute babies!! They were really protected. The mama chose well for a home. Temporary that it may be.
I love spring and summer and enjoy watching all of God's creatures. You got the pictures just at the right time!
ReplyDeleteSweet, little things and they do grow fast!
ReplyDeleteWhen my children were getting older and soon to "fly the nest" I had a wise woman give me the illustration of how the mama bird would gently nudge their babies out of the nest. She gave me a tape by James Dobson, Releasing Your Grown Children. It compared letting go to the birds. So much to learn from the birds. Sweet photos.
ReplyDeleteTheir baby stage is so fleeting! I love having a nest in the yard. We don't often see the babies but we see eggshells around pretty often.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you didn't catch them sooner, but the nest will probably be used again next year!
ReplyDeleteI have not found a nest I could see in--yet. It maybe getting to late.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got that one photo too, shame they flew away before you could take more.
ReplyDeleteJenn gave me a gorgeous, big hanging petunia for Mother's Day. We just discovered a bird's nest smack in the middle of it yesterday when we watered it!
ReplyDeleteAwwww time was of the essence! Good job, Mari. xoxo
