I thought I would share some random photos of this past Saturday. Bob and Heather were both working, so it was just Alaina and I at home.
It was a beautiful day, the sky was clear, the sun was shining, but it was pretty cool outside. The flag was flying nicely in the breeze.
Alaina spent some time playing on the slide.
We admired the daffodils!
We had to go inside to check the dessert Alaina "helped" me make earlier. It was done so we took it out of the oven. It's a cherry cheesecake dessert, which looked better once I put the cherries on top!
Here's a view of our living room - can you tell a 2 year old is in the house?
Time to do a little cleaning. I love this stuff, it cleans counters, tiles, walls... and it smells wonderful!
One last hug for Oliver before Alaina goes home. (She thought she needed to sit in his bed to hold him)
The house is clean, the toys are picked up, the dishes are done and it's time to relax. This candle is another thing from the Mrs Meyer's line. It isn't strong or overpowering, just has a nice clean scent.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend too!
What a fun Saturday! I love her little sunglasses! And I always get a kick out of her holding Oliver. Such a good kitty to tolerate that. But the look on his face is so funny!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried those Meyer products, although I've seen them at the store! Now you have me curious!
Your sweet grand daughter is so cute! Where do you get the Meyer's Clean Day products? I have never seen them here in Arizona but am going to look harder now. Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! So cute that Alaina felt the need to sit in Oliver's bed to hold him. Love it! What a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAlways love to see Alaina in your post. She is growing up. I know you enjoyed every moment.
ReplyDeleteShe's really getting big. I think it's wonderful that you take her overnight, it's great for your relationship with her and good for her parents too.
ReplyDeleteYou had a good time with Alaina. She is also enjoying the day. Your cherry cheesecake has come out well. Your photos are good!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the ideal way to spend such a beautiful day! Alaina is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteAlaina is just adorable. Oh yes, I know how the house looks when the little ones are there, but it is worth every minute of it. Your pictures are so clear and bright, and yummm on the cherry cheesecake.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to spend your off-day. Alaina is a joy, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHa ha Oliver always has that same look of fear and "when's she going home?" look on his face! :D
ReplyDeleteIsn't her hair growing long?? Looks like you both had a fun time.
LOL at Oliver, poor guy..I just love the pics of your granddaughter. The cherry cheesecake looks good. Blessings
ReplyDeletePS Love Meyers!!! I use the Lavender Meyers.
ReplyDeleteHi Mari! Thank you for sharing your sweet photos of your granddaughter. She is so adorable, great sunglasses! I bet you two have a great relationship. And what a nice break you provide for her parents too.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the Meyers line. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. I can't handle heavy scents, I get an allergic reaction to them. But something mild like this might work.
Monday Blessings,
Ceil
Oh I know you enjoyed that precious little beauty. She is sooooo adorable! She's the real beauty here! Sweet preshness!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, she is growing so fast!! Love the photo of her with her sunglasses and the other with Oliver.
ReplyDeleteI bet it was kinda fun having her all to yourself. I know I'd enjoy it.
what a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a thoroughly idyllic day. It's so strange to see bare branches when we're all leafed out now here. Our daffodils are a vague memory. Alaina is such a big girl and I like that she's allowed to make a (temporary) mess with her toys. I need to get one of those candles. BTW I'm a Nikon girl all the way! But Canon makes a very fine product too. You can't go wrong with either one. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat Alaina is just adorable! I love her sweet face. The picture of her holding Oliver made me smile ear to ear. That picture is a keeper, for sure.
