Works for me Wednesday

You know how much space utensils and other gadgets take up in your drawers and cabinets? Here's how I store mine:

I have a piece of pegboard in my pantry. You can buy different types of hooks for hanging different things. It's amazing how much can be stored in a small vertical area. I even have my big fry pan hanging on it.

  2. I was just complaining about my utensil drawer being loaded but I don't have a pantry and I'm limited with space.

I like how organized and neat it looks though.

  3. THIS idea would eliminate all the clutter I have in one drawer in my kitchen! Clever idea Mari.

  6. What a neat idea. I have a tall/large jar on my counter next to the stove that I put all my wooden spatulas etc. in - works for me.

  7. I love this idea! I have my utensils in an old jug on my counter top--I think it looks cluttered though. If I had the space I'd steal this idea for sure! Thanks for sharing.

  12. If only I had a pantry..my hearts desire.
Till then - I know my mansion in heaven will have the pantry of all pantry's - I will remain cluttered!

  13. Mari,

I love this idea of a new way of organizing. I mean you can see everything without digging through drawers. Might have to try that one.

  16. If you have ever watched Julia CHilds...you've got it all except that she had lines tracing out where each item belonged so that it was easy to put everything back into place!
you should do that too! lol

did you see Julie and Julia the movie?

  17. I wish you could see my face right now. This is what it says:

"Wow. That's really crafty. Why haven't I ever thought about that?"

    (Answer: Because I'm very non-crafty. ;) )

  18. Mari, Thanks for dropping by to see me and your kind remarks...
I thought it was interesting that you stayed in the Eagle's Nest at the Potters House Retreat....Names just reversed......
I love your peg board idea...holds so much stuff and you can see everything.... Not have to dig around to find what you need...
    Thanks for sharing.

  20. I love the idea, but don't have a pantry or a good place to do this. Besides, what is all that stuff and what do you do with it, LOL

  21. Mari,
I think this is a safer method for storing sharp objects. I'm always worried someone is going to slice a finger reaching for the pizza cutter.

  22. I can't wait until we have a new house (hopefully our OWN) and can do things like this. I haven't had a pantry in so long I don't even know if I'd know what to do with one!!! =)
