Are you a list maker? I like to make lists of things I need to do, both to keep track of things, but also for the mental reward that comes when I can cross something off the list.
Last year Lynn from Rohal Call posted about a printable chore list she uses. It breaks down household chores into small tasks, so by doing a few things every day, you are able to keep your house clean.
Last week I was remembering what Lynn said about this last year and thought I should check into it. But - before I could do that, she had a giveaway on her blog. Deann from Motivated Moms, the creator of this list had agreed to give someone the chore list of their choice. She offers lists of various sizes and styles that she sends to you in a download and you print it.
Surprise - I won! I printed it off tonight and put it in a notebook. I'm really excited about using this. If you want to see this product or are considering ordering it, here is a link to the different products.
Thanks to Lynn and Deann for doing this. Here's to a clean house!

That's so awesome! Sounds like it's going to be a great way to stay on top of things. Congrats on winning!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. Were you not allowed to post the "list"?
ReplyDeleteSusan
Congratulations Mari! I'm also a list maker. I just love lists and everything that has to do with organization.
ReplyDeleteYea!!! I can't wait to hear what you think of it. I don't do everything on the list, but it at least gives me a framework.
ReplyDeleteI sooo need organization! I wish I could get someone in my house to organize for me. I am constantly thnking where other people put their "stuff", starting with mail that cant be thrown out, school papers, magazines, etc....
ReplyDeleteI hope this helps you out. You asked, "Are you a list maker?" Well, I must admit that sometimes I do list things...
ReplyDeleteBut, I swear that I do need to find something to write WHERE I put stuff. I seem to forget. I need a chalkboard hanging off my neck and scribble on it where I put my glasses...keys...etc.
Congratulations on your win!
You're a better woman than me (news flash). The day I get excited about a cleaning list you can put me away permanently.
ReplyDeleteBut don't separate me from my spray bottle of Clorox Cleanup! LOLOL
This method reminds me of the great book Sidetracked Home Executives, which gives a similar plan for tracking chores. It's wonderful to have a clean house but what I really want is a live-in maid.
I checked it out, Mari, and it looks great. Congratulations on the win, by the way! : )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win, it sounds like a good plan to me. A chick has to have a plan, ya know!
ReplyDeleteYou have a super day and mya God bless!!!
i've found that breaking the chores up makes for a much better satuday - i've already done 15 minutes here and there after work so my day off looks more like a day off!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great win Mari! I love any chance to get organized.
ReplyDeleteGood for you on winning! We'll have to compare notes now. :) You know I'm all about list making, so I won't even answer that and just treat it as rhetorical for me.
ReplyDeleteHope you love your planner too!
I love lists! If it weren't for my little notebook full of them I would never get anything done or remember anything important!
ReplyDeletehow wonderful for you.
ReplyDeleteI make list too but I make them everywhere. still working on the being organized thing.
Mari,
ReplyDeleteI don't make lists often, but it would probably help me become more organized.
Congratulations on the win. I check out the chore lists and think I may just purchase one. A great idea.
Blessings,
Mary
Here's the problem I have...I love lists, love making them, but then I rarely follow them LOL
ReplyDeleteBut I do love making lists.
Congrats on the win :)
