Things that make me smile

I was out for a walk this afternoon. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the air smelled fresh. It made me think about things that make me happy. I kept walking, but started thinking about other things that make me smile. Here's a few!

Sunshine
Fluffy clouds
Fresh breezes
The way the bare tree branches look against the blue sky
A clean house
comments from my blogging friends
The way clean laundry smells
A baby laughing
Nice smelling candles
My kids having fun
Spending time with family
Flowers
puppies and kittens
Bob coming home
warm temperatures
the smell of pine trees
coming home from work knowing supper is already cooking
praise time at church
seeing someone else smile
a good song on the radio
taking pictures
losing weight
talking to Andy
knowing my future is in God's hands, not our government's
doing something that makes a difference in one of my residents lives
the smell of fresh cut grass
gentle rainfall
knowing Andy will soon be home
finishing paying the bills

I guess that's enough of a list for now. I have many things to be thankful for and I think it's important to realize how much God has blessed me and how much He has given me to smile about!

  5. So now you just need to put it in a song, kind of like in the Sound of Music! I think it's great that you posted this list! We do need to remember what we are thankful for.

  6. Another evidence of your sunny disposition :-) Glad you had a walk filled with happy thoughts! I'm looking forward to some country walks during our time in Santa Rosa. Lots of photo ops for Project 365 :-) Have a WONDERFUL week!

  7. Mari,

This is a fabulous list. All of these things are blessings. I remember when I worked in the nursing home...if I didn't something that made a resident happy, it made my day.

Take care, my friend. I always enjoy visiting with you.
    Blessings,
    Mary

  14. Great list. If only, we took the time every day to really see all the beauty around us and remember to count our blessings.

    Hugs!

  17. Puppies and kittens. Hee hee. That made me laugh.

Yay for Andy coming home! I see you're already counting down the days and I don't blame you one little bit.

You know what makes me smile? Sinking into my bed at night, next to my hubby, and knowing my little family is all tucked in and cozy. And eatin' Jello Chocolate Pudding with Bean. And dancing to my favorite music while I make dinner.
