My Spot

Jamie over at Rose Cottage shared her blogging spot with us a few days ago and asked us to show the area we do out blogging in so here is mine.
My computer is in our family room downstairs. This helps me get some exercise by running up and down the steps to use the computer! Bob built these cabinets and desk in the corner of the room. The seating area is on the other side of the room, where there is a wall of bookcases that match these cabinets. We have a nice comfortable, computer chair so I can enjoy spending time visiting all of you! Someday I'll get a laptop so I can read blogs in the same room as Bob is in, but this is a nice little corner for now!
Now it's your turn. Tell me about your spot!

  3. Oh that's great that you have cabinets above your desk!! I have open shelves and all my back magazine issues are on display for everyone to see! It's not that they look bad, more that then everyone will know about my little magazine addiction;0 thanks for sharing Mari:)

My 'spot' where I blog is all over the place since I have a laptop with a wireless connection...I'm in my bed right now...and my hubby just loves to hear me typing while he's trying to sleep! hahaha

  6. You have a great spot for your computer! I love the cabinets that Bob made. They keep everything neat and tidy.

Since Chad has taken over the family room downstairs with his computer and publishing business, and when I eventually got a computer, I had to put mine in the guest bedroom. Alan decided he wanted a computer so now we both have our computers in the guest bedroom. So now if guests ever come to our house, they will have to sleep in the office! Ha! Ha!

  7. Please tell me you cleaned up the area before you took the picture. Although you don't have kids sitting there when you are not so maybe it does stay that clean. I blog from the kids computer and my laptop. I may have to join your post today. We will see because both areas are a disaster right now. Wink!
Bob continues to amaze me. He has such a talent.
    Smiles!

  14. I'm blogging from a small Sony Vaio notebook laptop that Andy bought before we left Japan in 2003. It's on a small, old desk in our tiny kitchen. Since it's all in such close proximity to the rest of the kitchen (turn around, and you're there!), there is a coffee pot nearby, plus my missions bulletin board, ministry paperwork, phones, and TV. I've had to get an external hardrive for the laptop, and it's working well. Wish I could post a picture BUT the area is too cluttered for public viewing. Maybe one day.... I can look out the back window and see the Beagles....

  16. I think I've had my computer in every room in the house - upstairs to the basement and all rooms in between! Hal built me a great desk and cabinets in the kitchen where it is now in its permanent and perfect home.

  21. My spot is the bottom landing of the stairs in our corporate apartment. That's where the internet hook-up happens to be. I'm not really sure what they were thinking. My monitor is sitting on top of the tower, my printer is in the floor, and my keyboard is in my lap. The mouse and pad sits on whatever is closest and most convenient...and flattest. It's also a tad bit messy around my *spot*.

  23. Mari,

My spot is not as nice as yours. It is a cozy little corner and that is what I'm aiming for now that the apartment renovations are done and it is rented. (I will post photos soon.)

I look forward to your email concerning the female soldier I've adopted. Please enclose your son's military address so I can send him a Christmas card as well. I know it's going to be hard for the entire family with him stationed in Korea. A card may bring him a little cheer. Thank you so much for agreeing to participate.

    Blessings,
    Mary
