What day is it?

Do you know what day February 14 is? If you said Valentines day you would be right, but - it is also Heather's birthday! She was born on February 14, 1986. I was in labor with her for over 24 hours and I think it was because she wanted to be a Valentines baby. She was born only 8 minutes into the day. Of course, the long labor may have had something to do with the fact that she weighed 9 pounds and 6 ounces!

Here is a picture of Laura meeting her new sister. She was pretty excited to see her, as she had been hoping for a sister. (After she came home, she wasn't as sure) Look at all the black hair Heather had. She soon lost it and it came in blonde.

Heather is about 6 in this picture. She was a really easy baby and an easy kid. The most trouble she ever gave me was being born! She still rarely gets upset and often does things to help at home without being asked.

Here is Heather now. She has brought a lot of joy to Bob and I and we are happy to see the Christian young women she has grown up to be. Happy Birthday, Heather. We love you!

.

Another of my blogging friends is also celebrating her birthday today. Happy Birthday, Diane!

  1. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER AND DIANE.

Mari- I am a big believer at sending flowers to the mother's of those close to me as without the birth... I wouldn't have them as a blessing in my life. :)

Here's hoping someone gets you A LOT of flowers tomorrow. You deserve it after 24 hours of labor. :0)

  2. Happy Birthday Heather!! Enjoy your day! Thanks, Mari, for wishing me a happy birthday in your blog today too! I had candy bars for my girls in TeamKID tonight and they said "YOUR BIRTHDAY IS ON VALENTINE'S DAY???" I told them it was also Heather's and Kathy's and they seemed surprised that that many people had a birthday on Valentine's Day! It's kind of funny when you think about it - we don't think twice when 5 people share the same day otherwise - only when it's on a "holiday". :)

  7. She's a doll! In 1980 I thought I was having a Valentine's baby. I went into labor at 7:30 PM with a history of very quick labors, but I guess Jeremy wanted his own day. He came 45 minutes after midnight. Tomorrow he turns 28.

She sure was a bib baby. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Heather. She is beautiful and it's exciting to hear that she is a beautiful Christian too.

By the way, I cannot believe she can be born with such dark hair and then go so light blonde. Amazing.....
