Here's another slow cooking recipe for you. I love pork chops and carrots together, so although a few of my kids aren't too fond of carrots, I think this is good!
Honey Cinnamon Pork Chops with Carrots
16 ounce bag of frozen sliced carrots
4 boneless, thick cut pork chops
salt and pepper
1 can condensed tomato soup
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
Place carrots in the bottom of a 5 quart slow cooker.
Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Place on top of carrots
In a small bowl, stir together soup, honey and cinnamon. Pour over pork chops. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
Mari,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious. I made slow cooked pork chops a couple of days ago. I was a little low on supplies, so I put the pork chops in the slow cooker, added 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/2 BBQ sauce, one chopped onion, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and cooked for 4 hours. They were delicious.
I planned on making pork chops on Thursday - this is perfect! Do you serve a side dish with this?
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking I haven't seen a Slow cooking Thursday from Mari in awhile. I think I'll have to try those!

this sounds good, i'm always looking for a good way to keep chops moist...thanks!
ReplyDeleteMom, I love you dearly and remember lovingly most of the recipes you served us. But I'm afraid this wasn't one of them because as you stated - I am not a fan of those cooked carrots! And I also don't like pork chops. But I liked almost all of your other recipes! :) Sometimes even "Happy Casserole" You really should post that recipe...
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good Mari, thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good and easy.I love pork chops.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the rating on this one?
ReplyDeleteI think my family has the same taste---your scale works perfectly for us. (We made the soup from your recipe Blog)
I've heard this recipe before but have not tried it yet. A friend of mine had to cook with a crock pot for awhile when her heating element on her stove broke and this is one of the first recipes that she tried.
ReplyDeletesounds great!

ReplyDeleteI love to use my slow cooker too and this recipe sounds wonderful. I bet your house smells really good when this is cooking. That's what I love about my slow cooker. It's wonderful to walk back into the house and know dinner is ready.
