This should be pretty easy for me - I have been known to be weird at times! So here you go - 7 things:
~ 1) I have never flown! I'm not afraid of it, but the opportunity has never come up.
~
2) I can't stand to just sit and watch tv or a movie. I am usually playing my Nintendo or reading while I am watching.

3) My family says I eat pie backwards. I start from the crust and eat in.
~
4) I don't like coffee. I've tried but just can't drink it.
~ 5) I don't like to sit in the sun. If we are at a beach or pool, I will be the one sitting under the umbrella or tree.
~
6) I often talk to the computer, people on tv and people on my Nintendo games.

7) I make up crazy little rhymes and songs. I sing these goofy songs to my kids who don't always appreciate them and to the residents at the nursing home who laugh at me.

Mari, your not weird, well.... No!!
ReplyDeleteWell...hmm... uh... NO your not! Ok maybe just a little, but you sure do make people smile:)
About your comment...
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that you live near to Diet Eman. I heard her speak on Focus on the Family years ago, which is where I got the book. I was so touched by her story that I actually wrote to them (which I never do) to tell them how much I appreciated hearing her talk. A few days later, I got the book in the mail -courtesy of Focus on the Family.
And I've really enjoyed it. It's a wonderful reminder of all we have to be thankful for.
I'll bet she feels like it's all so surreal now... It feels so dramatic to read the book, and then there she is, living near you every day. I'm sure back then she never would have thought it. Life is weird sometimes.
oh oh! #6. Me too! And you should fly next time you visit Andy :) It's great fun! And yes, Mari, you do eat pie backwards.
ReplyDeleteWould you like a PIECE of gum? ;) haha.
Yeah I've heard Nurses tend to talk to themselves alot! It doesn't stop at work does it!
ReplyDeleteoh so now i need to know what games you play. I have a DS and I like Brain Age and Yoshi Touch and Go.
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
I think the way you eat pie is awesome! The crust is my favorite part of a pie, and I often sneak bites of it while I'm eating the rest!
ReplyDeleteThis was SO fun to read, Mari!! :)
That was so fun to read!
ReplyDeleteMy first plane ride was really, really bad. I should blog about it because it is a long story.
You do eat pie funny! Ha! Ha! Like the girl from short stop, I like the crust the best too but I never thought of eating pie backwards! (: I will have to try it now.
This was such a fun post ! I will do mine soon ! Now ... I have to say that you don't eat pie backwards as far as I'm concerned ! THAT is the only way to eat a pie ! In fact, it's the only way to eat anything ! I do the same ... I eat everything from the outside in ! That way ... you get the yummiest bit last !!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Stop on by when you get the chance. There's an award there for you. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mari, I came from Saija's. Those are cute things. I talk to the TV, but not my computer (I don't think, though come to think of it, I probably do, and don't even realize it). Also, I sang to people at Wal-Mart too- songs I made up about Wal-Mart, but mostly scripture and other songs I wrote.
ReplyDeleteI like the picture of Nancy and her husband at the party.
Those weren't too weird at all! Come on now......
ReplyDeleteAbout the flying on an airplane----maybe we'll just have to plan a trip to Japan! :) How's that for a first time ride?
The center of the pie is the best so save it for last. I eat my pancakes the same way
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm....maybe you ARE a little weird...but then again, aren't we all?
ReplyDeleteYes - you are definitely weird! :) But in a good way. I can't imagine having a funner childhood than growing up with you as a mom - although we do get frustrated with you when you are watching TV/movies and playing your Nintendo and then have to ask what's going on!
ReplyDeleteThat's how I eat my pie - I save the best for last!
ReplyDeleteConsider it a blessing to not like coffee - although it would be good with a piece of pie.
I don't like to sit in the sun either - and my head sweats like you wouldn't believe. That's probably too much information, huh? sorry.
Hey Mari Thanks for thinking of me.haha.I'm not that weird! 1. I hate feet!! Mine are o.k. and I like baby feet.Grow up feet YUCK!2.I freak out if someone touches my neck or even act like they're going to touch it. 3.I'm afraid of heights.I start to cry if I get to high.(once when we drove over a bridge) 4.I like peanut butter but not in ice cream. 5.I can't eat around people that smack there food. 6.Sometimes, when I'm alone in my house,I sing and dance to hip hop music.(I like the beat not the words) 7.After I eat something salty,I need to eat something sweet. I don't think I'm alone here. Thanks for sharing your blog space with me Mari!!See-ya soon,Patty
ReplyDeleteAre you calling me weird? I'll get around to this but I know I'll have a hard time coming up with anything strange about me.
ReplyDeleteWe all know you can't sit still - we talked to Duane about you while we were in the hospital with him!
Ditto on #4. Can't drink either. Like the smell of it. I love to sit in the sun! But I do wear a hat to protect my face and hair color!
ReplyDeleteOk, Mari, it has been confirmed. Both you and Rebekah have tagged me.
ReplyDeleteLet the weirdness be revealed!!
Remember, you asked for it...
Love, Joanne
This was fun... I enjoyed this post alot. I often talk to the tele too...Havnet talk to a video game yet though...that must be a greater level of communication that I am not aware of !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are not wierd, those are very normal things...maybe not the pie eating!;) I make up funny songs all day long with my kids...and by myself too. My mom always did that. I think it's too fun!
ReplyDeleteYou need to take care of that flying thing. Maybe come with your sisters to SC??
