I am amazed at the changes in the outdoor scenery in the last week. The leaves have really changed color, there are acorns all over our lawn, the flowers are faded and nearly all gone. It is surprising how beautiful it can be when actually these changes are coming about because the leaves and flowers are dying.
Nature often inspires me to praise God, but when I am admiring the beauty of fall, I often feel that creation is just shouting out praises!
Here are a few pictures of the changes going on in my yard.
Another picture of the hydrangea tree. It has really changed color since this post from only 2 weeks ago.

I was just noticing yesterday I far along all our fall foliage has come too! Loved your pics!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely backyard that you have, and these autumn colours are so stunning.
ReplyDeleteSimply God's fingerprints! Beautiful Mari, thanks for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. We went for a walk in the park last night and is was a nice crisp night and all the leaves are turning and I was thinking about that too. How it's so weird that we are all enjoying the beauty of it, when actually it's death and decay. But in God's plan - even death can be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics. I love fall!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite time of year- I just love the changing colors!
ReplyDeleteI was afraid with our drought summer that the leaves wouldnt be very pretty this fall. I was pleased the other day when I noticed several trees displaying brilliant fall colors.
ReplyDeleteI was just noticing the colors changing too. I mentioned it to Dave on the way back from the campground. The leaves have changed much more just in that distance farther north.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I love all the colors this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWow - y'alls colors are awesome! it is sooo pretty! We have many blessing living in the south but the beautiful fall is not one of them!

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this for those of us in fire-swept, 100 degree heat right now! I love the fall (maybe not here!).
ReplyDeleteI like the pic of you on your layout now! Very nice! I was thinking of your hydrangea tree - it would be so cool to have the same angle for the picture taken in all 4 seasons and frame those pics! Wow, that would be so awesome!
ReplyDeleteToo funny I just updated my profile picture and then was visiting FriedOkra and guess what I noticed.... You updated your profile picture. Great minds?
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
You have an AWESOME yard!!! I love color, too. What a daily treat! Hydrangeas are among my favorites. I need to plant some, don't I? And I also want at least one gardenia bush, a great big one. We have a tea olive around the side that smells HEAVENLY, but it's nowhere near anywhere we would sit and enjoy it. We are in the process of building a porch, so maybe in the spring I'll try some of these things...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek!
Your pictures are beautiful!!! I think you should have been a photographer:)

ReplyDeleteCool photos Mari!
