What a wonderful time we had in Florida. Terri is the sweetest hostess and also a great tour guide. We enjoyed every moment, but it was time to go home.
We had a very early morning, and had to be at the airport at 5am. We hugged Terri good bye (See you later...) and headed in to the airport. We were thankful for no long lines through TSA either coming or going, but I did get tagged in Lakeland and had to be patted down. They decided I was safe and sent me on my way. :)

Here we're getting close to landing. Michigan had a big storm while we were gone, but it had melted. However, you can see the ice on the ponds below.
When we landed in Grand Rapids, it was 31 degrees! We weren't in Florida anymore...
It was good to be home after such a lovely time away. Thanks Terri!

ReplyDeleteYes flying above the clouds is a sight for sure. Flying over the ocean heading towards Florida was also a sight. I was a bit worried about that as I did not know we would be flying over it for awhile. Glad you had such a wonderful time with Terri. Thanks for sharing your visit with us all. Janice
ReplyDeleteyour post proves me right when I say over and over there are too many people and houses in Florida. Leaving Lakeland take off lots of houses, landing hardly any homes in that photo. so glad you could come and have fun with friends

ReplyDeleteMari, it was interesting to read your comments about the clouds and the sunshine. I have learned in recent years to remind myself on cloudy days that the sun is just above those clouds and all really is well.

The pictures from the airplane are always amazing to me, and I've always been amazed at the realization that no matter what the clouds are doing the sun is ALWAYS shining! Great pictures, and such cute ones of the girls. I always enjoy your craft projects you do when the girls come over. What a good grandma you are. I don't remember using baking soda when doing eggs........it's been years. I think I remember adding vinegar to the dyes? I never think to take pictures out the plane window...must try to remember that the next time we take off for somewhere. Safe and fun travels.
