Last year I tried to have Alaina and Ruby decorate a gingerbread house and it was a disaster. We could keep the pieces together and the whole thing collapsed.
Anyway, this year I saw a kit that had mini gingerbread houses already assembled and thought that was just what we needed!
This weekend, we had Alaina, Ruby and Cassie at our house for a party and we got out the kit.
The finished houses!

Dear Mari, Alaina, Ruby and Cassie are beautiful and talented girls.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!! I agree, those tiny houses are much easier to work with...and how sweet to see the girls together. That age gap closes quickly, Cassie's not a baby anymore!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! You can see in their faces how much your granddaughters enjoyed this fun and creative activity. Have good week. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThey all did a great job! And I'm so glad it all worked out! Last year, we got a big house that was pre-assembled. And when we opened it, it was broken in pieces. The girls still talk about it!
ReplyDeleteThe girls made cute little houses, thank you for sharing this post :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun they are having! I've got to do this with my grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteI love this tradition and how you do this every day. These gingerbread houses like lovely! Good enough to eat ; )
ReplyDeleteBom dia, Mari
ReplyDeleteGarotas talentosas, as casas ficaram lindas, um forte abraço.
SUCCESS. YAY! I did see these mini ginger houses this year. Was wondering if you might try them out...now I see you did. Janice
ReplyDeleteI tried to do small ones from ikea but I am not very successful! I just did one which is not nice. Yours turned out pretty. The girls did a good job!👏
ReplyDeleteThey did a great job! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember that photo from last year! So funny. Good idea to skip the assembly and go right to the decorating. They did a good job. It's always nice to see the girls and how big Cassie is. My goodness, they grow so fast!
ReplyDeleteHa! How clever and smart to go small this year. They all turned out so cute! And the sweetest of all are those 3 angel granddaughters of yours. 🎄💚❤️
ReplyDeleteOutstanding !!!
ReplyDeleteLove the creativity of each one.
Success!!!
