Seasons changing

We've been having the usual end of Autumn weather here with reminders that winter is coming.  So far, no big snowfalls in our area and for that I'm thankful.  We've woken to snow on the ground several mornings but it's melts by noon.  Meanwhile, the leaves keep falling!

It's a mix of seasons, snow and brightly colored leaves.

Meanwhile, Bob seems to be fighting a losing battle against the leaves.  He's been raking and blowing leaves almost daily and it seems within a few hours, the yard is covered again.
It's worth it though - we love our trees!

  6. It's so beautiful where you live! Blowing the leaves away must feel like shuffling snow while it's snowing? It reminds me of Sisyphus.

  7. We had the first frost last night and may have a little snow. Yes it’s a lost battle with all the leaves I agree! My husband is battling with them 😂 ! Hope Alaina feels better.

  8. Beautiful trees and colors. I like snow when it lights up the landscape and brings a Christmas feeling. But slipperiness is not fun. Wonderful light in your pictures.

  10. You still have some amazing color! Ours is gone. We've only had one morning when the snow laid on the ground and that was only an inch. Beautiful photos, as always.

  11. love the pic of the blowing of the leaves, we love trees too, they are messy but life is boring without them to me... the snow and colored trees could be a beautiful painting if I could copy that, but beyond my skills....

  12. We love our white oak in the front yard but wow, the leaves ... TG has been battling them too but half of them are still up there!!! If the weather is nice on Thanksgiving day, he will get all the grandkids who are able and willing, out there to help him get them into bags. Melly will watch from the porch, hahaa! xoxo

  13. I relate dear "neighbor"! We haven't had snow that sticks but lots of frost every morning right now. Matt has the exact same leaf blower and hasn't given up the battle yet! Lol Go Bob Go!

  14. Bob's battle and our battle is an ongoing adventure. We have already filled 3 green waste cans full the last 3 weeks. There are still so many leaves left on our tree. If there is a big storm it will be the final blow out...not likely happening . I do love the gorgeous color though.
    Great photos.
Dave's a bit better today so it seems that the meds are doing the trick.

  15. Even though it's a lot of work, it sure is beautiful! I think it beats having to shovel (or snow blow) snow! LOL. But I guess that's coming soon too, so enjoy these happy autumn days while they last. We can all enjoy them vicariously from our computer windows. Have a lovely rest of your week.

  20. Beautiful photos! I think it's great that blowers can be used to "rake" leaves these days! Brilliant!! xo

  21. We only have two pine trees on our lot but get a lot of leaves from our neighbors' trees. We haven't done anything with them yet!

  22. Great photos! I know what you mean about the mix of seasons. When we had the unseasonable cold snap here I had to put a little heat on at night and by 2 in the afternoon I would have the AC going, lol!

  23. Love the trees and your sweet husband is sure a good guy . We still have neighbors leaves all over. Our trees are the spindly pine needles that cut you like a knife and kills the grass. The gentleman who planted all the trees in the 60's, darn I wish he planted some good shade trees for our yard. We are waiting on snow too. Yesterday I had capris and short sleeves. Today jeans and a thermal top! Our weather changes in a minute. HaHaHa
