We have a sunflower field near us that I like to visit every year about this time. There's lots of sunflowers, but also other flowers you can pick and make your own flower bouquet.
They have other fun things like a cornhole game, photo op spots including benches, a British telephone box, wood cut outs to put your face in, a tractor... So it's beautiful and fun too!
Bob and I stopped there Saturday evening as the sun was close to setting and enjoyed walking around.
Here's a few pictures I got.
I like the light shining into the barn. They use this space for flower arranging classes some evenings.
I love the sunflowers before they open! They have such intricate details.
Last view of the field with the telephone box!
I am new here, but I am learning you have some real art talent. Those pictures can't be from a phone - you must take them with your camera and oh boy what shots you took! They are gorgeous enough to be put in a book or magazine. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat sunflower field is absolutely beautiful! What an incredible place to visit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the pictures, but especially the last one! God's nature is amazing!
ReplyDeleteΓ place like that is very interesting. Flower arranging classes is very nice. I did it ounce and it was very interesting to do.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are so cool. I call them my happy flower. We use to have a field of them near my moms, but alas no longer. Mostly beans, corn and sugar beets here now...and the deer love all of them so you have to drive careful this time of year until harvest. Janice
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Waving to Bob, hey, is he not doing anymore podcasts? smiles
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to walk through that field of sunflowers. Your pictures are so pretty. Sunflowers make me happy. I had one big sunflower in the garden this summer, a volunteer. Next summer I may plant a whole of them, Lord willing.
ReplyDeleteWow, all the flowers especially sunflowers
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!!!
ReplyDeleteI think your first photo of the sunflower field is my favorite, it is gorgeous! You really posted some beauties! One of my favorites would have been the telephone box (I am a Dr. Who fan!). So what a good surprise at the end that you included it in your post!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! I have a fondness for sunflowers. I have a pot of (fake) ones outside the door of my apartment. So cheery. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos...and what a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I think taking a flower arranging class in that barn would just be so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Mari - I noticed your Comment that Duke’s mayonnaise isn’t sold in Michigan, but I live in southeast Michigan (in a suburb near Detroit) and I’ve seen Duke’s mayo in store near me. Would you like me to send you a little jar?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barb R.
Barb R - I hope you see this. I can't email you back. You are so sweet! I don't want you to have to do that. We will be in S Carolina in a few months so I'm planning to pick up a few jars and try it. Good to know we can also find it on the other side of the state - maybe it'll be coming our way soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
What a beautiful place!! Sunflowers make me happy - how can they not!? Thanks for sharing!
