This is celery, growing on a farm I worked on when I was in high school. I drive by it every time I go to work. I love seeing the bright green, straight rows as it comes up.
I did not realize there were celery farms here in Michigan. Nice to here we have this agri business thriving in our state. Mostly sugar beets, corn barley and wheat on this side. Love the pic with the contrasting blue and green color. Janice
That is very cool...can you believe that I've never seen a celery farm before. I don't think I've ever thought about how it grows, since it's not common in gardens around here. Interesting...
That is a big field. I like celery in my tuna salad and in soups. I find it hard to digest alone. That is a pretty green. What did you do there?
ReplyDeleteSusan - in this area farm jobs like this hire lots of high school kids. I planted celery, trimmed it when it was harvested and packed it to be sold.
ReplyDeleteThis perspective is gorgeous! The rows are so straight! I don't think I have ever seen a field of celery before.
ReplyDeleteWonderful scene

ReplyDeleteFantastic perspective. Well done! 💙
ReplyDeleteThe color is stunning! I wonder if they make a "celery green" paint? Lol
ReplyDeleteThere is beauty in this orderly field.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo Marie!
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast of colors!
I like seeing the nice straight lines too. NICE photo.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I've never seen celery growing in the field before! I love celery! Thank you for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteI think dipping ice cream was easier than picking celery so I won't complain anymore about my high school job!! That field does look very pretty!
