I have one more new recipe we tried while at the cottage in Traverse City. We always try some fun, new things while there and this is another one that is easy and good! I have to admit to not following the recipe well, so I had some overflow of eggs. I'll give you the correct way to do it, so you don't have that issue. :)
Bacon and Egg Crescent Squares
1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls (8 count)
4 eggs
6 slices bacon, cooked
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil or parsley
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lay parchment paper over baking sheet.
Open crescent rolls and divide into 4 rectangles, pinching the perforations together.
Fold up the edges of the dough to provide a side to hold the egg in.
Crack one egg into the center of the dough.
Sprinkle with parmesan, and salt and pepper.
Break bacon up and sprinkle about 1/1/2 slices over each crescent square.
Sprinkle basil or parmesan over top.
Bake for about 12 minutes until crescents are golden and eggs are done to your preference.
yum, looks so good!
