Here's what's been happening in my world

Life is busy over here, and I bet it is for you too.  Summer has flown by and school starts for my granddaughters this week.
Here's a few snapshots of what went on last week:

Excuse the glare on the side of this photo. I was taking a picture out the window at work.  These twin fawns have been around a lot. They don't seem terribly afraid, just watch us as we look out the windows at them.  They are so cute and fun to watch.

Saturday, we drove 1 1/2 hour north to go to a reunion of my Mom's family.  She was the youngest of 9; 2 sisters, 6 brothers. One sister died at 16, the others all married and had kids. All the siblings have passed away and here are a bunch of the kids - who are now getting old!  It was a beautiful day for a drive and nice to catch up with cousins.

This is one of the realtor shots of my Dad's house. It sold this week. Now we just have to go through inspections, appraisal and loan process for the buyer.

Last but not least, this happened 42 years ago, on the 21st.

42 years! Those years have flown by.  I'm so thankful for God bringing us together and for the gift of a wonderful husband.

  2. Happy anniversary! Prayers for many more!

What a blessing to get to go to that reunion! I miss going to ours but most years it is too hot and too far. I will surely regret not going, though.

    Grace & Peace,
    Pam

  9. I am in tears. You certainly do have a wonderful husband, and he has a precious wife. A trophy wife! That's what you are. Or: trophy bride, treasure wife. Your wedding was stunning and the love shining out of Bob's eyes in that close-up says it all. Summer is waning and we too have seen some deer -- two -- and very nearly collided with them! Ugh it was DARK and on a busy four-lane road not two miles from our house! I like to have died right there in the passenger seat. How special that you were able to take a nice drive and get together with the cousins. Family reunions are necessary to remind us who we are and where we came from. I'm sad that your childhood home is sold although I know it is a relief to you and your sibs. I pray every happiness for those who live there next! I sort of wish it was me, hahaa xoxo

  12. Hello dearest Mari! And Happy Anniversary to you adorable lovebirds 💝 It's so fun to see the photos from your big day - so sweet.
Also, happy to hear that your Dad's place sold and that chapter will be settled for you soon.
The reunion looked fun! I so related with a million cousins. Lol My Mom is 1 of 6 and my Dad 1 of 9. My Grandparents from both sides had lots of siblings too. My Grandpa on my Dad's side takes the cake though...he was 1 of 17. Can you imagine? 🙈 There was only 1 set of twins too. So my great Grandma gave birth 16 times. Geesh. Lol

  15. Happy Anniversary! How fun to be able to have a family reunion. We use to have one on my mom side but covid stopped that and no one has decided to start it up again. Janice

  18. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! I did the mental math and I would have been 7 when y’all married! 😁 Your wedding pictures are just beautiful! I’m so glad y’all got to go to the family reunion. I think it’s so wonderful that you all still make a point to get together. Family is so important! Praying all goes well with the house sell. I know it’s a bittersweet thing.
