Alaina and Ruby came to my work on Friday at the end of the day, to spend the night. We met Bob at the Culvers in our town to have supper and then went back to our house.
It was a beautiful evening, so we spent some time outside.
We came inside, made some cookies and had gotten pj's on when suddenly Ruby said she didn't feel good and wanted to go home. Aaron and Laura came to pick her up.
Alaina stayed and a little after 9 she went to bed. At 10 she got up and said she didn't feel well either, her tummy was really bothering her. So, at 10:15 we got into the car and took her home. What a bummer!
Thankfully, on Saturday morning they were feeling better.
However, I had made plans to take my stepmom, Ann out for lunch and take the girls along. Ann is in assisted living now and loves to get out, and also loves seeing the granddaughters. So, I called Heather to see if she was busy. She said they would be happy to go, so I went and picker her and Cassie up.
It was nice to see all three girls in one weekend!
Ruby has the prettiest dimples. And both of the girls have such gorgeous freckles! I am so glad they were only sick for a short while!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Ruby and Alaina weren't feeling well. I hope they are better now. It's nice that you were able to have lunch with Ann and take Heather and Cassie along. Sounds like you had a very nice family weekend. I hope you are also having a good week!
ReplyDeleteYou have a sweet family. This is so good to see.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the girls not feeling well but good to hear that they were feeling better on Saturday morning. Maybe they just overdid it playing outside. That is so cute with Cassie hugging Ann. You can tell Ann loves her.
ReplyDeleteThose kids are such a hoot. They really are growing up, aren't they?! What a blessing. Thanks for sharing the day.
ReplyDeleteLove & Blessings. xx
Beautiful blog
ReplyDeleteI hope Ruby and Alaina are feeling better now. What a bummer for you guys! Looks like a nice visit with Ann and also WITH Bob. Cassie is a cutie for sure!
ReplyDeletePrecious times. It's good to see that Ann is doing well. I'm so sorry the girls were not able to spend the night but isn't it great that they live nearby and can go home, and come back when they feel better? I wish all of my grandkids lived so near! I sure do enjoy the two who do. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun times.
ReplyDeleteHope the girls are feeling better. You have such a nice family!
ReplyDeleteThe girls are so sweet and so darn cute!! I am glad Ruby and Alaina weren't sick for too long but sorry it shortened your time with them (and theirs with you(. Getting to see Heather and Cassie was a nice bonus and Ann seemed to enjoy her time with all of you!! Thanks for sharing and blessings wished for the rest of the week!! xo
ReplyDeleteOh no, sorry to hear that the girls weren't feeling well, but happy to know they were better by morning. It's always a little iffy with kids, isn't it? Looks like it was a nice weekend after all!
ReplyDeleteAll those beautiful freckles! Granddaughters are special aren't they! Of course, I say the same about Grandsons! Happy that the girls felt better the next day! That picture of Ann and the little one is just precious! I can't get enough of pics like that!

Those girlies are all so adorable! Glad Alaina and Ruby felt better - poor Sweeties. So nice to see Ann doing well. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh such a precious post. I am sorry the girls weren't feeling good. Lots of bugs floating around and here, the allergy bug is giving me a fit! Love all the photos and your sweet step-grandmother that the girls know. Have a blessed day. !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the girls, and the one of Ann hugging Cassie is priceless. Such a precious capture.
ReplyDeleteSorry the girls didn't feel well, but it looks like they started out having fun. That's a nice little play setup you have in your yard.
So great to see Ann! I know she misses your dad so much. The girls are growing up so fast! Hate they felt bad and had to go home early. Hope everyone is feeling better by now.
