Today's recipe is one I've shared before, but we had it last week, and I was reminded how good it is, so I'm sharing for those who may not have seen it before.
We always grill it, but it can be done in the crockpot too. In the summer, having it with fresh beans makes a healthy and yummy dinner!
Teriyaki Chicken
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup soy sauce or teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup cooing sherry
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon dried garlic
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Combine oil, soy or teriyaki sauce, sherry, ginger and garlic in a large zip-lock bag. Place chicken in bag and remove air from bag. Seal and place in refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.
When ready to cook, drain marinade from bag and grill.
Enjoy your tasty, juicy chicken!
*You can make these ahead of time and freeze the whole bag, just thaw before grilling.
** I always cut my chicken breasts in half because sometimes they are so big, and also because it cuts down on grilling time.
Do you slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally? That's what I do when we grill chicken breasts. We eat them in big Italian rolls. I have always marinated them in Italian dressing. But this sounds super delicious!
ReplyDeleteYum, I can almost smell it now!
ReplyDeleteYum. I use chicken thighs...more juicy & tender. Served over rice.
